摘要: A clothes hanger for disabled or height restricted people with a hook which flexes or moves at the tip when the hanger is pulled downward to enable clearance of the rail pole. This movement is aided by a pivot pin and a spring mechanism; as is a collapsing horizontal bar section for leg wear derived of two equal sections with magnetic closure holding mechanism.

摘要: The present invention concerns configuration of a new category of integrated circuitry for adaptive or reconfigurable computing. The preferred adaptive computing engine (ACE) IC includes a plurality of heterogeneous computational elements coupled to an interconnection network. The plurality of heterogeneous computational elements include corresponding computational elements having fixed and differing architectures, such as fixed architectures for different functions such as memory, addition, multiplication, complex multiplication, subtraction, configuration, reconfiguration, control, input, output, and field programmability. In response to configuration information, the interconnection network is operative to configure and reconfigure the plurality of heterogeneous computational elements for a plurality of different functional modes, including linear algorithmic operations, non-linear algorithmic operations, finite state machine operations, controller operations, memory operations, and bit-level manipulations. The preferred system embodiment includes an ACE integrated circuit coupled with the configuration information needed to provide an operating mode. Preferred methodologies include various means to generate and provide configuration information for various operating modes.

摘要: The present invention concerns a full aperture beverage end (14) having a centre panel (30), a countersink (22) surrounding the centre panel (30), a main score (50) arranged in proximity to the countersink (22) to define a removeable aperture panel (54) and a vent score (46). The beverage end (14) is adapted for use with products that are pressurised to over 30 psi (207 kPa) when opened, and during opening the vent score (46) is adapted to sever first, controlling the pressure differential between the external surface and internal surface of the centre panel (30), thereby allowing the main score (50) to tear in a controlled and reliable manner.

摘要: A system for authorizing new or ongoing functional use of an adaptable device. The device generates usage information including the times that the device is used, types of functionality provided, indication of amount and type of resources used, and other information. The usage information is transmitted back to a controlling entity, such as an original manufacturer of the adaptable device. The controlling entity can act to enable or prevent use of the provided functionality, as desired. Part of the requirement for using functionality can be monetary, by predetermined agreement, or by other criteria.

摘要: A method and system for adapting a device is disclosed. The method and system comprises providing a data stream to the device to be changed based upon a parameter. In a second aspect an adaptable device is disclosed. The adaptable device comprises an adaptable computerized environment (ACE) for receiving a data stream that allows the device to be changed based upon a parameter. The adaptable device includes a mechanism within the ACE for authorizing the data stream. A system and method in accordance with the present invention provides a hardware device that can be changed based upon a particular parameter such as time and location. In so doing, a provider of the hardware device can provide a more adaptable component which provides more value to the provider. Indeed, it is possible to give away the hardware upfront or even give an incentive to a receiver of the hardware and thereby use the device in a variety of ways.

摘要: The present invention provides a digital imaging apparatus having an optical sensor, an analog-to-digital converter, a plurality of computational elements, and an interconnection network. The optical sensor converts an object image into a detected image, which is then converted to digital image information by the analog-to-digital converter. The plurality of computational elements includes a first computational element having a first fixed architecture and a second computational element having a second, different fixed architecture. The interconnection network is capable of providing a processed digital image from the digital image information by configuring and reconfiguring the plurality of computational elements for performance of a plurality of different imaging functions. The invention may be embodied, for example, as a digital camera, a scanner, a printer, or a dry copier.
