摘要: Chemical vapor deposition (CVD) systems and methods for forming layers on a substrate are disclosed. Embodiments of the system comprise a chamber having a controlled environmental temperature and pressure and containing a first environment for performing CVD on a substrate, and a second environment for contacting the substrate with a plasma; a substrate transport system capable of positioning a substrate for sequential processing in each environment, and a gas control system capable of maintaining site isolation. Methods of forming layers on a substrate comprise forming a first layer from a precursor on a substrate in a CVD environment, contacting the substrate with plasma in a plasma environment, wherein the forming and contacting steps are performed in the unitary system and repeating the forming and contacting steps until a layer of desired thickness is formed. The forming and contacting steps can be performed to form devices having multiple distinct layers, such as Group III-V thin film devices.

摘要: A method, apparatus and computer program product are provided for implementing a pointer and stake model for frame alteration code in a network processor. A current pointer and a stake are provided for a packet selected for transmit. The current pointer is maintained for tracking a current position for frame alteration operations in the packet. The stake is maintained for tracking a start of a current header for frame alteration operations in the packet. The current pointer is used by frame alteration code instructions to specify a sequence of operations relative to the current pointer. The specified frame alteration sequence is compact in terms of code size to operate on data within a small window of bytes. Advance pointer instructions allow the current and stake pointers to be advanced an arbitrary number of bytes into the packet.

摘要: A method and structure for determining when a frame of information comprised of one or more buffers of data being transmitted in a network processor has completed transmission is provided. The network processor includes several control blocks, one for each data buffer, each containing control information linking one buffer to another. Each control block has a last bit feature which is a single bit settable to “one” or “zero” and indicates when the data buffer having the last bit is transmitted. The last bit is in a first position when an additional data buffer is to be chained to a previous data buffer indicating an additional data buffer is to be transmitted and a second position when no additional data buffer is to be chained to a previous data buffer. The position of the last bit is communicated to the network processor indicating the ending of a particular frame.

摘要: An optimal code generator for generating structured assembly language expressions is disclosed. Because of the equivalence between unit structured assembly language expressions and the code implementing them, it is possible to represent complex structured assembly language expressions as a vector of unit structured assembly language expressions. A set of rules for systematic manipulation is utilized to allow logical operations on the vector representation of structured assembly language expressions to result in optimal code. Using the equivalence between the code and unit structured assembly language expressions allows the vector representation of a structured assembly language expression to be translated directly into code.

摘要: A LAN adapter is implemented in the communication system to selectively exclude four bytes of the CRC value appended to an end of a frame's information field through the use of a configuration bit in a register. By programming this configuration bit to have a specific logic value, the four-bytes of the CRC value may be selectively copied, together with the data in the frame, into a destination computer system's main memory. Additionally, regardless of the setting of this configuration bit, the four-bytes of the CRC value will always be used to check the integrity of the data in the frame. Stated another way, the configuration bit will only affect whether the four-bytes of the CRC value will be transferred as part of the frame after the CRC check operation has been performed.

The device may include a U-shaped retainer clip for holding the device to the gate valve. A method for heating a gate valve to drive off contaminants involves heating the lower portion of the gate valve to drive contaminants towards the vacuum pump.
