摘要: A method for adhering together lanes of a compressible product includes inserting a wedge device between two separate lanes of a compressible product to split apart at least a portion of the lanes of product, advancing either the wedge device or the separate lanes of the compressible product to move the wedge device and lanes relative to one another, applying an adhesive onto an inside wall of one or both of the lanes of compressible product while at least a portion of the lanes are split, and contacting the inside walls of the lanes to form a single adhered product.

摘要: A method of reducing the amount of cooling energy required to heat and cool a building is provided. The method includes disposing a porous insulating material in the exterior walls and substantially covering the ceiling in the attic space of the building to a substantial depth. The porous insulating material includes a desiccant. The method further includes permitting the desiccant—bearing porous insulating material to adsorb water moisture from the attic space and then permitting the adsorbed water moisture to desorb from the desiccant—bearing porous insulating material into the enclosed room of the building, resulting in a reduction in the amount of energy required to heat and cool the building.

摘要: A device and system for securing adjacent segments of duct work formed from fibrous glass duct board insulation and the like is disclosed. The device comprises a corner member having two legs disposed at approximately right angles, each of said legs having oppositely facing and substantially parallel adjacent channels disposed therein to accommodate portions of opposed edges of adjacent segments of duct work. The system includes a plurality of corner members each having two legs disposed at approximately right angles, said legs having substantially parallel and oppositely facing adjacent channels disposed therein to accommodate at least a portion of the opposed edges of adjacent segments of duct work.
