摘要: A print head includes a first electrode layer including a plurality of generator electrodes, a second electrode layer including a plurality of discharge electrodes, and an insulating layer disposed between the generator electrodes of the first electrode layer and the discharge electrodes of the second electrode layer. The discharge electrodes include at least one discharge aperture extending therethrough. Each discharge aperture has an undercut region defining a discharge surface spaced from and substantially parallel to an opposed surface of the insulating layer.

摘要: Representative embodiments provide for a fuel activation device including a fuel storage chamber configured to store a plurality of fuel pellets arranged as a stack. A fuel dispensing device is configured to transport a fuel pellet to a fuel activation chamber. A spring is configured to advance the fuel pellets toward the fuel dispensing device as one or more fuel pellets are removed from the stack. A fuel initiator is configured to activate a release of hydrogen gas from the transported fuel pellet. The fuel activation device is configured to provide the hydrogen gas to a fuel cell through a gas vent. A method is provided including providing a plurality of fuel pellets arranged as a spring-loaded stack, transporting a fuel pellet from the stack, activating a release of hydrogen gas from the transported fuel pellet, and providing the hydrogen gas to a fuel cell.

摘要: Biodegradable graft copolymers derived from a carbohydrate, including nitrogen-containing carbohydrates and modified carbohydrates, and at least one α,β-unsaturated carboxylic acid derivative having superabsorbent properties are disclosed in addition to the substantially adiabatic polymerization process by which the graft copolymers are made. The methods disclosed can be carried out in a variety of currently available stirred and/or continuous commercial reactors. Polymerizations carried out with starch have surprisingly produced substantially quantitative yields of graft copolymer free of residual monomer produced as a moist copolymer. Product work-up typically involves an optional neutralization and drying.

摘要: A method to produce barrier coatings (such as nitrides, oxides, carbides) for large area thin film devices such as solar panels or the like using a high frequency plasma enhanced chemical vapor deposition (PECVD) process is presented. The proposed process provides a uniform deposition of barrier coating(s) such as silicon nitride, silicon oxide, silicon carbide (SiNx, SiO2, SiC) at a high deposition rate on thin film devices such as silicon based thin film devices at low temperature. The proposed process deposits uniform barrier coatings (nitrides, oxides, carbides) on large area substrates (about 1 m×0.5 m and larger) at a high frequency (27-81 MHz). Stable plasma maintained over a large area substrate at high frequencies allows high ionization density resulting in high reaction rates at lower temperature.
