    摘要: A method and apparatus for decoding an input MPEG video stream are provided that includes a core processor with a very long instruction word (VLIW) processor and a co-processor that includes a variable length decoder (VLD) for decoding the MPEG video stream. The input MPEG video stream is organized into macroblocks, wherein each macroblock includes a header for a macroblock that is not decoded, and encoded data for a macroblock whose header is previously decoded by VLD. Thereafter, VLD decodes the encoded video data of a first macroblock whose header has been decoded, and decodes the header of a second (current) macroblock. VLIW then performs motion compensation on a current macroblock based upon reference data of a previously decoded macroblock. VLIW also adds a fake slice start code and fake macroblock data at the end of each picture into the input MPEG video data stream; and utilizes the fake slice start code and fake macroblock data to skip to a next slice. The fake macroblock data indicates an error to the VLD stopping the decoding process until the core processor clears the interrupt and reinitiates decoding of a selected macroblock.

    摘要: A method and system for decoding and reconstructing an incoming MPEG video data stream for producing decoded MPEG video data is provided. The method and system utilizes a first memory storage device with at least two memory buffers associated with a co-processor, and a second memory device with a plurality of memory buffers associated with a core-processor. Also provided is a first data transfer unit coupled to the first memory storage device and the second memory device. The first data transfer unit in response to a first signal from the core processor selects one of the first memory storage device buffer (B0) as a source and a buffer in the second memory storage device as a destination buffer (MB_B0′). The data transfer unit is adapted to read content from B0 and write the content of B0 to MB_B0′. Simultaneously, data transfer unit also selects the other buffer of the first memory storage device (B1) as a second source buffer and a second destination buffer (MB-B1′) from the plurality of buffers in the second memory storage device. Again the data transfer unit is adapted to read the content of B1 and write the content of B1 to MB_B1′, wherein the transfer from B1 to MB_B1′ comprises a wait indicating that a transfer from B0 to MB-B0′ is complete.

    摘要: A method and apparatus for decoding an input MPEG video stream are provided that includes a core processor with a very large instruction word (VLIW) processor and a co-processor that includes a variable length decoder (VLD) for decoding the MPEG video stream.     摘要: A wheelchair with two large rear wheels, two swiveling front wheels and an open front has handgrips located vertically above the two rear wheels. A connecting rod pivoted to a handle attached to each of the handgrips extends downward to a plunger slidably located within a sleeve removably connected to the frame. An adjustable arm extends from the plunger through a slot in the sleeve to a position proximate yet not contacting each of the rear wheels. When a lever on the handle and each handgrip are squeezed the lever pivots and forces the rod and plunger downward within the sleeve. The arm on the plunger contacts each wheel and brakes the wheelchair.

    摘要: An improved bicycle suspension system and method are disclosed which provides a fully, or rear wheel only, suspended bicycle having improved shock absorbing characteristics. The system utilizes a portion of the hollow, horizontally disposed linear main frame member which extends from just below the seat to the handle bar assembly as an integral part of a hydraulic or pneumatic shock absorber. The portion is sealed against fluid leakage and has a piston assembly slidably positioned therein, the piston assembly being linked by a single link unit to a rear wheel supporting framework which is also pivotably connected with the main frame above the chain line at a structural support joined to the two lower structural main frame members adjacent to the foot crank assembly. A load adjustable spring assembly is positioned in the portion and connected with the piston assembly, with spring preload being adjustable from the exterior of the shock absorber.

    摘要: A positive displacement pump includes a vertical pump cylinder or body formed from an extruded tube or pipe of rigid plastics material, and the pump body has a lower end portion connected by an annular compression coupling and a set of bolts to a mating portion of a pump base supported by a fabricated tubular frame. The pump base includes a smaller horizontal conduit having opposite ends removably connected to a set of flapper-type check valves. The upper end portion of the pump body is connected to a support flange by a set of tie rods extending from the coupling and pump base, and a piston is moved axially within the pump body by an offset connecting rod and an eccentric drive mounted on the output shaft of a motor-reducer drive unit. The drive unit is mounted on a platform which rests on the support flange and is pivotally supported by the frame. The platform and drive unit are tilted to an inclined position by a hydraulic jack extending between the platform and frame to provide for convenient access and rapid servicing of the pump body and sealing rings surrounding the piston.

    摘要: A method for connecting a sewer pipe to a larger pipe or manhole wherein the connection between the pipe and manhole opening is sealed by means of an elastomeric gasket or boot. In one embodiment of the invention, the pipe is inserted into the manhole opening and an annular elastomeric gasket is positioned over the annular space between the pipe and opening. An extensible jack, which has an annular plunger element having a diameter substantially equal to that of the gasket, is braced against the wall of the manhole opposite the opening and extended so as to press the gasket between the opening and pipe. In an alternative embodiment, a rigid ring is inserted within one end of an elastomeric boot such that the outer diameter of the boot-ring assembly is slightly larger than the inner diameter of the opening. The boot is inserted into the opening up to the enlarged end, the jack is braced against the opposite wall of the manhole and extended thereby pressing the gasket and ring into the opening. Due to the elastomeric nature of the boot, it is compressed between the manhole opening and the rigid ring so that a compressive watertight seal is achieved.
