    摘要: A cooperative packet routing for wireless sensor networks is described. In one aspect, a transient sensor node in a wireless sensor network receives a packet from a source node, wherein the packet is targeted for receipt by a base station. The transient sensor node, responsive to receiving the packet, estimates how much operational energy remains in the sensor node. If the determined amount of energy meets a configurable threshold, the transient sensor node implements a set of cooperative packet routing operations for conditional re-transmission of the packet to the base station. The configurable threshold is set to ensure substantially optimal usage and lifetime of the sensor node in the wireless sensor network. The conditional re-transmission of the packet is based on a set of randomized packet re-transmission criteria.

    摘要: A tilt sensor having a printed circuit board disposed in a direction normal to a reference plane for measuring a tilt angle with a pair of electrodes formed on a first surface of the printed circuit board. A cover is affixed to the printed circuit board and creates a cavity between the cover and the printed circuit board with a predetermined gap between the cover and the pair of electrodes, the cover acting as a common electrode to the pair of electrodes to create a pair of capacitors. An inert liquid is contained in the cavity, the surface level of the inert fluid varying according to the tilt angle of the reference plane. A signal processing circuit is formed on a second surface of the printed circuit board that produces an output signal corresponding to a difference in capacitance between the two capacitors as a tilt angle detection output.

    摘要: A plurality of water-related sensors may each include an environmental characteristic detection element, a power source, and a communication device to transmit data associated with water-related data at a site. A water impact data store may contain electronic records associated with prior water-related events at other sites along with water-related sensor location data for those sites, and a third-party information interface may receive third-party information. An enterprise analytics platform may automatically analyze the electronic records in the water impact data store to create a predictive analytics algorithm. The data associated with potential water-related data at the site and the third-party information may then be automatically analyzed, in substantially real-time, using the predictive analytics algorithm, and a result of the analysis may then be transmitted (e.g., to a party associated with the site and/or an on-site water shut-off valve).
