    摘要: The present disclosure relates to intracorporeal gas exchange systems and methods in conditions associated with hypoxia and hypercarbia. The present disclosure envisages an intracorporeal oxygenation system comprising a blood oxygenator having a blood compartment and a gas compartment. The blood and gas compartments are separated by a gas permeable barrier so as to allow exchange of carbon dioxide in blood in the blood compartment with oxygen in the gas compartment. The system comprises a catheter device for insertion in a blood vessel of human comprising an interior portion and an exterior portion wherein the interior portion (100a) comprises an annular housing, a plurality of capillary conduit, a pumping device, an air sensing device, a blood sensor and a collar. The present disclosure also relates to a method of oxygenating a deoxygenated blood in a human and also to a method for treating a human suffering from hypoxia or hypercarbia.

    摘要: The umbrella includes a shaft, a lower canopy having a central opening, and an upper canopy thereabove over the opening. A first supporting assembly includes ribs, stretchers, and a runner and is connected to the shaft and first and second canopies to operably move the canopies between closed and open positions, wherein an inner portion of the upper canopy moves with the ribs. A second supporting assembly is connected to the ribs of the first assembly within the opening and connected to an outer portion of the upper canopy for operably moving the outer portion of the upper canopy between concave and convex positions while the lower canopy and inner portion of the upper canopy are retained in the concave position, such that the outer portion of the upper canopy covers the opening when concave to restrict air passage and exposes the opening when convex to permit air passage.

    摘要: Systems and techniques are disclosed for determining an intervention for a patient based at least in part on a likelihood of the patient to adhere to a prescription. In some implementations, a patient profile for a patient is obtained from one or more computer-readable storage devices in a patient population, the patient profile including multiple patient attributes; an adherence score is obtained for the patient profile, the adherence score for predicting patient adherence based on one or more of the multiple patient attributes wherein the adherence score indicates a likelihood of adherence of the patient to a prescribed treatment; and the adherence score obtained for the patient profile is modified into a modified score for intervention based on a set of weights for weighting the patient attributes.

    摘要: Apparatus for providing a structured radiation pattern in a charge distribution of a photoreceptor. The apparatus is comprised of a source of radiation, a plurality of apertures and a lens system for focusing the illumination, by the apertures, on the photoreceptor. The lens system is arranged to provide an overlapping of the aperture images formed on the photoreceptor. The overlapping images minimize the requirement on the intensity of radiation from the radiation source. The position of the apparatus from the photoreceptor provides a method for control of the size of the structured pattern on the photoreceptor charge. A line structure or a dot structure pattern can be applied to the charge distribution of the photoreceptor.
