摘要: A method for the fast reconstruction of content information of a recording medium. The method includes determining a signature of the recording medium, the signature having two or more elements; comparing the signature with two or more signatures stored in a content database; and retrieving associated content information from the content database if the signature matches a signature stored in the content database.

摘要: A method for determining the format of an optical recording medium (1) comprising one or more data or audio tracks or both types of tracks is proposed, the method being robust against partially corrupted data on the recording medium. The method comprises the steps of: reading (101) the table of contents (TOC); storing information from the table of contents; checking (102, 103, 105) whether all tracks are indicated as audio tracks or as data tracks or whether both audio tracks and data tracks are present; if one or more data tracks are present, checking (104, 106, 107) whether the first indicated data track contains any audio information; and determining the format according to the results of the checking steps (102-107).

摘要: A product and document fulfilment system for merging together discrete articles and specific documentation which pertains to each discrete article, and for packaging and labelling the same. The system comprises an article conveyor on which discrete articles are carried seriatim, a first machine code reader for reading the unique machine readable code on each discrete article, a printer for printing a specific document pertaining to the article, instruction control means governing the delivery of the appropriate document to be merged with the article, a merging station where the specific document and the article are merged, a second machine code reader for reading the machine readable code on the specific document, first memory and counter means for recognizing the identity of the discrete article at the merging station, and accept/reject means to accept the merged article and specific document when a match occurs, or reject the item when no match occurs.

摘要: A method of forming a gold statuette of a three-dimensional object, e.g. a man, is disclosed as including the steps of (1) scanning the man with scanning means to obtain data on his contour and shape; (2) inputting the data into a computer; (3) based on the data inputted into the computer, displaying a virtual three-dimensional image of the man on a monitor of the computer; (4) providing an epoxy resin prototype of the man by a sculpturing machine controlled by the computer; (5) providing silicon rubber mould-halves on the basis of the epoxy resin prototype; (6) providing a wax prototype on the basis of the silicon rubber mould-halves; (7) casting gold onto the wax prototype; (8) removing the wax, in which the scanning means revolves around the man to scan his contour and shape.

摘要: Disclosed is a system and method for facilitating wireless communication amongst sensors attached to wearables. Each of the sensors may be configured to operate either as a master device or a slave device. Further, the sensors may be inter-communicatively coupled to establish a sensor communication network wherein one of the sensors operates as the master device and the other sensors operates as the slave devices. Further, a set of sensors may be configured to broadcast metadata information to at least one other sensor within the sensor communication network. Further, the said sensor communication network may be updated based upon the metadata information received from the set of sensors to form an updated sensor communication network. The said sensor communication network may be updated by swapping one of the slave devices with the said master device to operate as a new master device for the said updated sensor communication network.

摘要: A method performed by a new joining peer device in a peer-to-peer (P2P) network comprises receiving a plurality of buffer maps, each of the received buffer maps associated with a respective other peer device in the P2P network. The method also includes discerning playback positions associated with the received buffer maps, generating a starting offset for the new joining peer using one or more of the discerned playback positions. Requests for portions of a media stream are scheduled in accordance with the starting offset, and the scheduler will build a buffer map from this offset and begin to request the media buffer.

摘要: An album comprising a plurality of pages, each page containing at least one image, is generated by allowing a user to select a style from a plurality of candidate styles S1 to S8, each candidate style comprising a plurality of layout definitions and each layout definition being for a certain amount of images 1 to 6, and allowing the user to place one or more images on a page. A layout for a page is then automatically generated on the basis of said selected style and the amount of images placed on said page.
