摘要: In an electronic device having a plurality of processing elements PEs that operate in synch with a clock signal, each of the plurality of PEs generates its own operating clock signal in accordance with a clock enable signal that is input together with data from an outside or from a PE of a preceding stage, processes the input data in response to this operating clock signal, outputs this processed data to a PE of a succeeding stage and outputs the clock enable signal to the PE of the succeeding stage, and halts generation of its own operating clock signal when output of the processed data is completed following completion of processing of the data.

摘要: An image processing apparatus comprises: an image input unit to input an image; an image thinner for getting the OR of (m dots in the vertical direction)×(n dots in the horizontal direction) for the input image from the image input unit, thereby thinning out the (m×n) pixels and newly forming one pixel; a labeler for adding labels every line to black pixels of the image which was thinned out by the image thinner and adding the same label to the pixels which are continuous in the vertical, horizontal, or oblique direction and simultaneously tracing a rectangle; and a separator detector for distinguishing a rectangle corresponding to a sentence portion, a rectangle corresponding to a figure or photograph, a rectangle corresponding to a table, a rectangle corresponding to a separator, and the like by using a width, a height, an area, and a pixel density (the number of pixels to the area) of the rectangle added with the label by the labeler. On the basis of the result of the detection of the separator detector, the area of the input image is divided.

摘要: A lighting circuit for a discharge lamp has input terminals to which a DC power supply is to be connected, a DC power supply circuit for converting a DC input voltage to a predetermined voltage, and a DC-AC converter for converting the output voltage of the DC power supply circuit to an AC voltage and then supplying the AC voltage to the discharge lamp. A transformer is incorporated in the DC power supply circuit as insulator means for insulating the circuit portion at its input stage from the circuit portion at its output stage. The transformer has its high-voltage output terminal connected to a ground-side one of the input terminals to supply a negative rectangular-wave voltage to the discharge lamp.

摘要: A cermet has a hard phase which contains W and nitrogen, and includes at least one selected from a carbide, nitride and carbonitride of a metal having Ti as a main component, and a binder phase having an iron group metal as a main component. A W amount contained in the whole cermet is 5 to 40% by weight, an interfacial phase including a complex carbonitride with a larger W amount than a W amount of the hard phase being present between grains of the hard phase, and when a W amount contained in the interfacial phase based on the whole metal element is represented by Wb (atomic %), and a W amount contained in the hard phase based on the whole metal element is represented by Wh (atomic %), then, an atomic ratio of Wb to Wh (Wb/Wh) is 1.7 or more. The cermet is excellent in fracture resistance and wear resistance.

A selection number for selecting one of HDDs, one or more designated ATA commands, and an accessible time period including an available count are added to the extended command.
