摘要: A camera system exhibiting reduced effects from temperature changes. The camera system includes an IR sensor; an optical arrangement adapted to focus incoming light onto the sensor; a processing arrangement adapted to process signals produced by the sensor; a heatsink in thermal contact with and is adapted to transfer heat energy away from, the processing arrangement; and a thermal equalizer. The thermal equalizer at least partially surrounds and is in thermal contact with the optics/sensor unit and is formed at least partially from a material having a high thermal conductivity. The thermal equalizer conducts heat energy from warmer to cooler parts of the optics/sensor unit. The thermal equalizer is also thermally insulated from ambient air surrounding the camera system and from the heatsink.

摘要: One or more embodiments of the invention provide for a lens package comprising a housing having a vacuum compatible interior space, a base coupled to the housing, a lens coupled to the housing, and an infrared detector within the housing for providing infrared images representative of infrared energy received through the lens. The housing, base, and lens are adapted to form an infrared detector vacuum package assembly. The housing may include a focal alignment feature that allows for focal adjustment of the lens relative to the infrared detector by applying pressure to at least a portion of the housing.

摘要: Systems and methods are disclosed that provide an infrared-transmissive dome, such as for infrared imaging applications. For example, an infrared-transmissive dome, for an embodiment, includes a main body providing a hollow, hemispherical-shaped dome; wherein the main body is made of an ultra-high molecular weight or a very-high molecular weight polyethylene material; and wherein the main body has a wall thickness equal to or less than approximately 0.012 inches to allow infrared transmittance greater than approximately sixty five percent through the main body for infrared imaging in a wavelength range of approximately three to fourteen micrometers.

摘要: Systems and methods are disclosed that provide an infrared-transmissive dome, such as for infrared imaging applications. For example, an infrared camera system includes a housing having a lens coupled to the housing and an infrared detector within the housing configured to receive infrared energy passing through the lens. An infrared-transmissive dome, coupled to the infrared camera system, includes a main body providing a hollow, hemispherical-shaped dome, with the main body made of an ultra-high molecular weight or a very-high molecular weight polyethylene material. The main body may have a wall thickness equal to or less than approximately 0.012 inches to allow infrared transmittance greater than approximately sixty five percent through the main body to the lens for infrared imaging in a wavelength range of approximately three to fourteen micrometers.

摘要: A camera assembly includes a housing having a central axis and a camera cassette slidably receivable in a front end thereof. The slide-in cassette includes a sled having a pair of legs slidably receivable in respective ones of a pair of complementary longitudinal slide guide recesses located in the housing and aligned substantially parallel to the central axis thereof, an electrical connector located at a rear end of the sled, a camera electrically coupled to the electrical connector, and an apparatus disposed at a front end of the sled for coupling the camera to the front ends of the sled and the housing such that the optical axis of the camera is located generally concentric with the central axis of the housing and disposed at a selectably adjustable angle relative thereto.
