The basic design of the inventive device comprises an electric power source (18), control electronics (17, 17′) mounted in the vehicle body and at least one pertaining coil (20) also mounted in the vehicle body. The device further comprises control electronics (11) mounted in the element and at least one pertaining coil (19) also mounted in the element. Both coils (19, 20) are inductively coupled via a common transmitting/receiving path to transmit data and energy. According to the invention, the coil (19) mounted in the element is enclosed by the coil (20) mounted in the vehicle body and can be displaced in a longitudinal direction within the coil (20) mounted in the vehicle body or vice versa.
