摘要: A slide shaft is provided upright on a support portion, and a lens support is provided on the slide shaft in such a manner that it can rotate around the slide shaft and slide in the axial direction of the slide shaft. Therefore, a hole having a larger diameter than that of the slide shaft is formed at the center of the lens support. An objective lens is provided at one end of the lens support. A drive portion comprises permanent magnets provided on the support portion and coils for rotation and sliding which are provided on the lens support, and the rotation and movement in the sliding direction are performed by passing currents through the coils. The lens support is supported by a support spring which has high rigidity to the translation in the tracking direction and low rigidity to the rotation in a plane intersecting the slide shaft at right angles.

摘要: An optical disk unit has an optical system which is separated into a movable head assembly and a fixed optical system so that the movable head is made light weight. The movable head has an objective lens, an objective lens driving unit for focusing the objective lens, and a head moving unit for moving the whole movable head in the radial direction of an optical disk. The fixed optical system has a galvanomirror for deflecting the light emitted from a laser beam source and causing it to fall on the objective lens of the movable head, and detectors for receiving the light of the optical spot formed by the objective lens which is reflected from the optical disk. The galvanomirror is provided with a first mirror for reflecting the light emitted from the beam source to a plane intersecting the rotational shaft at right angles and directing the light to a fixed mirror, and a second mirror for deflecting the light reflected from the fixed mirror and directing the light to the objective lens. As a result, when the galvanomirror is rotated, the light reflected from the second mirror is constantly passed through a portion near the focal point of the objective lens of the light source side and falls on the objective lens.

摘要: An optical disc driving device for use in an optical disc apparatus is equipped with an objective lens, a lens holder for holding this lens, and upper and lower support springs for supporting the lens holder. Each support spring consists of a pair of conductive springs which are electrically separated from each other in a plane. Each pair of conductive springs includes straight spring sections extending straight to pass a central axis which is parallel to the optical axis of the lens holder and which passes the center of gravity of the same. End portions of these conductive springs are joined to the lens holder by means of rubber members.

摘要: A neural network type of apparatus is provided to detect an internal state of a secondary battery implemented in a battery system. The apparatus comprises a detecting unit, producing unit and estimating unit. The detecting unit detects electric signals indicating an operating state of the battery. The producing unit produces, using the electric signals, an input parameter required for estimating the internal state of the battery. The input parameter reflects calibration of a present charged state of the battery which is attributable to at least one of a present degraded state of the battery and a difference in types of the battery. The estimating unit estimates an output parameter indicating the charged state of the battery by applying the input parameter to neural network calculation.

摘要: A flexible branching apparatus in a superconducting magnetically levitated railway having a U-shaped guideway includes a flexible main beam, which is integrally disposed along the guideway at the center thereof and has cross-sectional rigidity that gradually decreases from a fixed end to a distal end thereof, the main beam consisting of paramagnetic steel; cross beams integrated with the main beam and consisting of paramagnetic steel; runway concrete panels laid between the cross beams and supported so as not to possess transverse rigidity; short-span concrete panels connected to vertical portions of the cross beams by hinge support means, the short-span concrete panels having ground coils mounted thereon and constructing side walls for guidance; a driving device for driving the distal end of the main beam so as to be capable of forming the main beam into an alignment that does not fall below a minimum radius of curvature decided from an acceleration level for riding comfort; and a stopping device and locking device for restraining movement of the main beam upon completion of movement of the distal end thereof. Despite the fact that the guideway is U-shaped, bending into a planned alignment can be performed merely by driving a single location, namely the distal end portion.

摘要: There is provided a two-dimensional position control method which carries out two-dimensional position control fast at a minimum wobbling frequency. The method includes a step of oscillating at least either a space propagation energy distributed in a substantially limited range on a predetermined two-dimensional plane or energy input system to which the energy is input such that a locus of a relative movement thereof forms an ellipse on the two-dimensional plane, a step of detecting energies at least two pairs of points on the elliptic locus on both sides of the center of the ellipse, and a step of calculating differences between the detected energies at the respective pairs of points, thereby detecting a displacement between the energy and the energy input system on the two-dimensional plane.

摘要: The invention relates to a tape transport mechanism in which two reels are respectively driven by different motors, thereby transporting a magnetic tape from one reel to another reel by passing through the portion of a read/write head without any variation in tension. At the initial stage to transport the magnetic tape, an acceleration time from a stop state of the tape until a tape speed reaches a reference speed and an average tension deviation to be applied to the magnetic tape during this time are obtained. Correction values to correct variations in run characteristics of two reel drive systems are calculated by use of the acceleration time and the average tension deviation. Upon next and the subsequent magnetic tape transport, currents to be supplied to the motors to drive two reels are controlled by use of the drive current command values corrected by those correction values.
