    Abstract: In some aspects, the present disclosure provides therapeutic-agent-releasing polyamino compounds that comprise a polyamino moiety that is covalently linked to a residue of a hydroxyl-substituted therapeutic agent by an ester bond. In various embodiments, such therapeutic-agent-releasing polyamino compounds are used to form therapeutic-agent-releasing hydrogels. In other aspects, the present disclosure provides therapeutic-agent-releasing polysaccharides that comprise a plurality of hydroxyl-substituted therapeutic agent residues that are covalently linked to a carboxylic-acid-containing polysaccharide along a backbone of the carboxylic-acid-containing polysaccharide.

    Abstract: In some aspects the present disclosure provides a radiopaque, reactive copolymer comprising at least one hydrophilic polymer segment having a plurality of hydrophilic polymer segment ends, a plurality of iodinated polymer segments covalently linked to the plurality of hydrophilic polymer segment ends, and a plurality of reactive moieties covalently linked to the iodinated polymer segments. In other aspects, the present disclosure pertains to a system for forming a hydrogel composition that comprises (a) such a radiopaque, reactive copolymer and (b) a nucleophilic compound, as well as to a crosslinked reaction product of the same.     Abstract: In some aspects, the present disclosure pertains to a system for forming a radiopaque product that comprises an iodinated compound comprising one or more diene containing moieties and a multi-arm polymer comprising a plurality of dienophile containing moieties, wherein the diene containing moieties of the iodinated compound couple with the dienophile containing moieties of the multi-arm polymer through a Diels-Alder reaction.     Abstract: In various aspects, the present disclosure pertains to methods of forming an iodinated peptide compound that comprises: (a) forming a multifunctional precursor compound comprising (i) a residue of an amine-protected peptide that comprises two or more amino acid residues with primary-amine-containing side groups and (ii) a multifunctional moiety linked to the amine-protected peptide residue through an amide group or an ester group; (b) reacting the multifunctional precursor compound in an amide coupling reaction or an esterification coupling reaction with an iodinated compound to form an iodinated, amine-protected peptide compound comprising n iodinated moieties that are covalently attached to the amine-protected peptide residue through a residue of the multifunctional moiety; and (c) deprotecting the iodinated, amine-protected peptide compound to form the iodinated peptide compound.
