Abstract: This exhaust gas purifying catalyst is provided with a substrate 10 and a catalyst layer 20 formed on a surface of the substrate 10. The catalyst layer 20 contains zeolite particles 22 that support a metal, and a rare earth element-containing compound 24 that contains a rare earth element. The rare earth element-containing compound 24 is added in such an amount that the molar ratio of the rare earth element relative to Si contained in the zeolite 22 is 0.001 to 0.014 in terms of oxides.

Abstract: The present invention provides an exhaust gas purification catalyst having an excellent purification performance for purifying chemically stable methane. A catalyst material 30 includes a carrier 32 formed of alumina and a catalyst 34 formed of at least one of palladium and a palladium oxide directly supported on the carrier 32. A specific surface area of the carrier 32 is preferably 20 m2/g or more 90 m2/g or less. In one preferred aspect, a proportion of Pd(100) and PdO(101) in crystal planes of the catalyst 34 at a joint surface between the catalyst 34 and the carrier 32 is 20 number % or more.

Abstract: An exhaust gas-purifying system for purifying exhaust gas discharged from a diesel engine includes a diesel oxidation catalyst through which the exhaust gas passes, a diesel particulate filter which includes a filter substrate and an active component supported by the filter substrate and exhibiting a catalytic activity for selective catalytic reduction and through which the exhaust gas having passed through the diesel oxidation catalyst penetrates, and an ammonia slip catalyst which includes a zeolite whose alkaline metal ions are partially exchanged with transition metal ions and through which the exhaust gas having penetrated the diesel particulate filter passes.
