摘要： Catheter devices having an expandable balloon for delivering a therapeutic agent to a body site. The balloon has one or more folds which serve as a reservoir for containing the therapeutic agent. The fold may have any of various configurations to hold the therapeutic agent. In some cases, the balloon comprises one or more lobes that forms the fold(s). The therapeutic agent may be provided in various ways. For example, the therapeutic agent may be contained in packets that rupture upon expansion of the balloon, or as a plurality of discrete bulk masses, or sealed within compartments.

摘要： A drug-eluting endoprosthesis that includes a bioerodible metal portion and a therapeutic agent. In some aspects, the endoprosthesis includes a plurality of discrete deposits and a plurality of overlying layers each overlying one of the plurality of discrete deposits. Each discrete deposit includes one or more therapeutic agents and each overlying layer includes one or more bioerodible metals. In other aspects, the bioerodible metal portion includes at least two bioerodible metal regions having different electronegativities. The at least two bioerodible metal regions being in electrical contact with each other. The bioerodible metal erodes in a physiological environment to release the therapeutic agent.

摘要： A side catheter branch of a catheter assembly is oriented with respect to the main or side balloons of a catheter assembly. In some examples, the orientation is accomplished by connecting the side catheter branch to the main and/or side balloons or waist portions thereof. In other examples, the side catheter branch is positioned within the folds of the main or side balloons during assembly of the catheter assembly. In this manner, the side catheter branch remains in a known orientation with respect to the main and/or side balloons prior to and/or after deployment.
