    摘要： The current application discloses a method for producing a porous catalyst, the method comprising providing a powder of metal particles with a specific size; mixing into the powder of metal particles spacer spheres with a fixed diameter less than that of the metal particles; placing the metal-particle/spacing-sphere mixture in a ceramic container; heating the mixture in an oven, furnace or microwave oven to sinter the metal particles and fuse them to a solid matrix; and removing the spacing spheres either by solvolysis or pyrolysis.

    摘要： In one example disclosed in the current application, by supplying just enough heat to the channel walls to replace the reaction heat removed during the reaction, a reactor exhibits tighter temperature tolerances with respect to the desired reaction temperature. In other words, the surface temperature can be more closely matched to the desired reaction temperature. Also, having a design where the channels can be scaled in both geometry and number allows control of the rate of mass transport through the channels to minimize unwanted side reactions.

    摘要： There is disclosed a gold surface for the catalytic release of hydrogen from an alkane thiol. More specifically, the present disclosure provides a large surface area of gold on a carbon fiber scaffold that does not contain any sublayers of metals that can block the catalytic release of hydrogen from alkane thiols or form other reactions that remove the sulfur moiety from alkane thiol. There is further disclosed a method for forming a gold surface onto woven carbon fiber sheets wherein no sublayer or other intermediate material is used.

    摘要： A metric gauge including a planar body having formed therein a plurality of varying sized sockets suitable for measuring wrench size, screw size, and nut size. A scale with offset index shoulder is also provided to measure bolt and screw length.Each of the sockets is hexagonally or otherwise formed at the planar body to receive a bolt head or nut therein to precisely measure wrench size. A seat or shoulder for the bolt head or nut is formed below the planar surface at each socket to rest the bolt head or the nut thereon when sizing.Each of the sockets is downwardly formed to a hollow cylindrical configuration of a varying diameters for bolt diameter measuring purposes. Each socket terminates downwardly in a cylindrical bottom of known outside diameter to receive thereon a nut for gauging the nut diameter. The scale edge of the planar surface is impressed with a plurality of graduations which may be in millimeters or inches which extend from the index shoulder.

    摘要： A longitudinally segmented acoustic transducer for a cement bond logging (CBL) tool having a plurality of adjoining PZT ring-like segments driven synchronously in parallel by one or more pulses and caused to vibrate in an anti-resonant mode, substantially below the resonant frequency of an individual segment when used in a transmitting application. When used in a receiving application, each of the plurality of transducer rings are caused to vibrate by acoustic signals detected by the transducer array, also in an anti-resonant mode. High speed digital signal processing enables on-depth, high quality data for all azimuths at each depth to be obtained, processed, normalized and either sent to the surface in real time for each 20 Hz firing cycle, as the CBL tool is pulled toward the surface, or stored in a memory module in digital form for later retrieval. Built-in calibration factors used for normalizing the output signals to the operating conditions of use may be accessed at any time.
