    摘要: The invention relates to branched organopolysiloxanes and to their preparation and use. A branched organopolysiloxane is prepared by the reaction of an alkoxysilane with a substantially linear organopolysiloxane containing at least one hydroxyl or hydrolysable group bonded to silicon, in the presence of a phosphazene catalyst. The branched organopolysiloxanes obtained can be suitable for use in a moisture curable sealant composition capable of curing to a high modulus seal, with less tendency to gel than when using other siloxane polycondensation catalysts. Phosphazene catalysts also have the advantage that the content of undesired low molecular weight cyclic silicones in the polymerisation product is low.

    摘要: The invention relates to branched organopolysiloxanes and to their preparation and use. A branched organopolysiloxane is prepared by the reaction of an alkoxysilane with a substantially linear organopolysiloxane containing at least one hydroxyl or hydrolysable group bonded to silicon, in the presence of a phosphazene catalyst. The branched organopolysiloxanes obtained can be suitable for use in a moisture curable sealant composition capable of curing to a high modulus seal, with less tendency to gel than when using other siloxane polycondensation catalysts. Phosphazene catalysts also have the advantage that the content of undesired low molecular weight cyclic silicones in the polymerization product is low.

    摘要: Silicone pressure sensitive adhesive (PSA) compositions and methods for their preparation are provided. In one embodiment, PSAs are formed from a silicone polymer mixture by condensation polymerization of low viscosity polyorganosiloxanes in inert solvents and/or silicone fluids, and optionally adding a silicone resin (MQ) during polymerization. The silicone polymer mixture formed may also be mixed with a silicone resin (MQ) and bodying catalyst, and bodying is allowed to continue until the desired reaction product is formed.

    摘要: This invention relates to aqueous emulsions comprising a polyorganosiloxane and a wax, and to methods of production of such emulsions. The emulsions are of the type oil-in-water. An organopolysiloxane is polymerized in admixture with a molten wax, thereby forming a blend of the wax with an organopolysiloxane of increased molecular weight, and the said blend of polymer and molten wax is emulsified in water in the presence of a surfactant. The emulsions are useful in personal care applications such as on hair, skin, mucous membrane or teeth. The emulsions are also useful in applications such as paints, water based coatings, textile fiber treatment, leather lubrication, fabric softening, fabric care in laundry applications, homecare, release agents and oil drag reduction.

    摘要: A one or two part organopolysiloxane composition capable of cure to an elastomeric body, the composition comprising a polymer having a polymer backbone selected from an organopolysiloxane backbone and a telechelic backbone, which polymer has not less than two reactable silicon-bonded groups selected from alkenyl group, condensable groups, silyl-hydride groups, 5 to 50% by weight of the composition of an extender; a suitable cure catalyst; and optionally a siloxane and/or silane cross-linker having at least two groups per molecule which are reactable with the reactable groups in (a) and/or one or more fillers. The extender is selected from an alicyclic ester having at least two ester groups, and a boiling point of at least 180° C. or a mixture thereof having a boiling point range commencing at 180° C. or above; each ester group being the same or different and comprising from 2 to 30 carbon atoms.
