摘要: A color camera employs a monochrome imager and a color filter plate that is divided into a plurality of primary color filter sections. The filter sections can be individually shuttered electronically for transmitting color sequential images onto the imager. In one embodiment there are red, blue, and green color filter sectors that radiate from a center at the optic axis of the camera. In an alternative embodiment, concentric annular color filters are provided.

摘要: A system and method for building GUI screen screens for a time keeping and expense tracking system includes a time keeping and expense tracking (TKET) server that includes computer instructions that define logic for building GUI screen screens according to user definitions, communication channel throughput capacity, and terminal capacity. In one embodiment of the present invention, the TKET server is operable to receive communication signals transmitted by way of a wireless communication channel and to generate corresponding display screens that are responsive to the user terminal type. The TKET server is also operable to act as a remote time clock. Accordingly, the TKET server is formed to receive and interpret signals that define the user ID, an account code, and whether a start or stop timekeeping event has been selected. The TKET server also is operable to prompt an IVR to interact with the user.

摘要: An embossed plastic sheet material is molded to have a relief image with a peripheral edge that is formed by a partial shearing of the material of the plastic sheet near or at the peripheral edge so that the image lasts longer and does not relax or deteriorate naturally or with repeated and prolonged use. Also disclosed is a protective container made from the embossed plastic sheet material that can be used in a carrying case and an album to safely store and transport valuable and collectible items including coins, bottle tops, pogs, optical disks, magnetic disks, audio and video disks and tapes, stamps, photographs, match books, and other similar items. An embossing roller assembly is also described that can be used to fabricate the embossed plastic sheet material.

摘要: A system for automatically positioning a plurality of tool-holding carriages along an elongate guide member utilizes a single drive member to move all of the carriages simultaneously. The carriages each have clutches for selectively engaging or disengaging the drive member so that the carriages can be moved relative to each other by the drive member, and can be moved simultaneously in opposite directions along the guide member if desired. The drive member is capable of moving each carriage throughout its respective maximum range of movement with a continuous motion, without any reversal of the drive member or any disengagement of the respective carriage from the drive member. Each carriage has an electrically-powered position sensor capable of transmitting different discrete signals for different positions of the carriage so that it provides absolute indications of position rather than indications which are relative to some reference position. A sealing enclosure surrounds both the drive member and the carriages, so as to prevent the entry into the enclosure of airborne particles, and likewise surrounds all fluid and electrical power conduits to the carriages. Automatic positioning of the various carriages is simplified by precisely positioning them sequentially, in an order corresponding to progressively larger distances of movement required for each carriage to reach its desired position.

摘要: A web slitting machine for cutting a web or roll of material includes an upper carriage assembly joined to a lower blade holder assembly by a selectively removable guide key which is milled to provide a predetermined cant angle for the blade. The blade is lowered into position by a piston which is rectangular and includes a torsion-resisting sleeve to prevent rotation of the piston about its vertical axis. A pneumatic control provides a plurality of control modes whereby the blade may be raised and lowered with or without locking the upper carriage assembly to its transverse bar and vice-versa. A unique side shift adjustment is provided whereby the blade may be shifted to a half-stroke position and the upper carriage locked when the blade is positioned against a lower knife. This ensures that the pressure of the blade against the knife is the pressure exerted at the mid point of the stroke. A parallelogram linkage biased by a spring provides a shock absorber for maintaining blade/knife contact in the presence of webs moving at high speed.

摘要: An illumination system having a continuous fixed ceiling panel, at least one light source suspended by a telescoping arm from the panel and a split-core transformer formed by two electroinductive coils enclosed in permanent magnets through which a magnetic field is created for the sealed transfer of electrical energy through the panel to the light source. One magnet is disposed on opposite surfaces of the panel. Rollers or a pneumatic system may be disposed between each magnet and the surface of the panel on which the magnet is disposed for sliding the magnets over the surfaces of the panel while maintaining the transfer of electrical energy. Secondary lighting means may also be included.

摘要: The following specification sets forth a digital tape erasure conditioning circuit and system in combination with a tape drive. The tape drive is such that it drives a magnetic digital tape across an erasing and recording head within a streaming cartridge tape drive. Information is written onto the tape and subsequently read and checked in a continuous streaming manner to assure the correctness thereof. The tape is driven with respect to its various channels over write and read head portions of the head and returned in the opposite direction for writing and reading on another channel. In order to provide for multiple channels, the head is moved laterally across the face of the tape and when moved, is provided with an air cushion between the tape and the head to prevent laceration and attendant damage to the tape surface. When the tape is to be erased, an AC erasure takes place as opposed to a DC erasure wherein the media is saturated at only one level as it passes the field of the erase head. The AC erasure is provided by a rapidly alternating field as the tape moves across the head. Thus, the media is subjected to a slowly diminishing cyclic field as it moves away from the erasure gap. This causes the magnetic intensity to diminish and leave a minimal amount of magnetization, due to the AC erasure. The erasing circuitry of this invention provides a 3.58 MHz square wave to two erase drive transistors. The inductance of the erase head in parallel with stray capacitance and a resonating capacitor, allows for a resonant circuit to pump the erase head until self limiting occurs, thereby provided an AC erasure to the previously magnetized tape.
