The hybrid PON system of wavelength division multiplexing (WDM)/time division multiplexing (TDM) may include an optical line terminal (OLT) and an optical network unit (ONU). The OLT and the ONU may transmit a signal based on wavelength reuse using a seed light source and a reflective modulator. The light source may include a seed light source having a single wavelength, two seed light sources having different wavelength bands, and a light source having a wavelength tunable characteristic.

The modulation method of the optical modem includes an optical interface providing a signal to a light source, a photo detector receiving reflected light by an optical link when output light from the light source based on the provided signal is reflected by the optical link, the photo detector measuring and determining characteristics of the optical link using the reflected light, and the optical modem determining a power level and a modulation method for each subcarrier based on the characteristics of the optical link.
Abstract:
A network management apparatus and method for remotely controlling a state of an IT device in order to use WOL to change a remote device from an inactive state to an active state over an IP network. The network management apparatus includes a detection pattern generator, a remote state controller, and a wake-up cause analyzer. By activating an inactivated PC connected over an IP network and positioned at a remote site using WOL to control a state of another IT device interoperating through the IP network as well as a state of the PC, it is possible to inactivate the device without unnecessarily having to leave the device on and then control the device as necessary, thereby reducing power consumption of the device and extending a lifetime of the device.
Abstract:
Provided are an object tracking system and an object tracking method. The object tracking system includes: a terminal identifier and reference time providing module configured to receive an identifier of a terminal and a reference time for tracking an object corresponding to the identifier; a cross-CCTV detection module configured to detect a cross-CCTV for the terminal by using a CCTV installation information and a location of the terminal before the reference time; a basic image detection module configured to detect an object repeatedly appearing in the cross-CCTV as a basic image; a current-CCTV detection module configured to detect a current-CCTV currently recording the terminal by detecting a location and a moving direction of the terminal after the reference time; an object detection module configured to detect an object appearing in the current-CCTV based on the location and the moving direction of the terminal after the reference time; and an object tracking module configured to track an object corresponding to the identifier by determining whether the detected object from the current-CCTV and the basic image.
Abstract:
Disclosed is a method of processing an object in an image and a system for the same. According to an embodiment of the present disclosure, there is provided a method of processing an object in an image, the method including: detecting a first object from a first image obtained by a first network camera; detecting a second object from a second image obtained by a second network camera; checking similarity between the first and second objects in consideration of feature information of the first and second objects, installation location information of the first and second network cameras, and location information of a terminal device; and determining whether the first object is equal to the second object on the basis of the similarity between the first and second objects.
Abstract:
A method of acquiring an Internet protocol (IP) address to control a standby mode of a set-top box, and the set-top box and a power management server performing the method are disclosed. The method may include determining whether a state of the set-top box changes from a broadcasting state in which a broadcasting service is provided to a passive standby state in which a network connection between the set-top box and a headend providing the broadcasting service is blocked, receiving state information associated with an IP address allocated to the set-top box for the network connection in response to the state of the set-top box changing to the passive standby state, and transmitting, to the set-top box, a state change command to maintain the network connection for the IP address allocated to the set-top box based on the received state information.
Abstract:
A peak detector using a charge pump is provided. The peak detector includes a differential amplifier configured to receive an input signal to be detected through an input node and amplify the received signal; a current control logic configured to create two or more current control signals by comparing a signal output from the differential amplifier with two or more reference voltages; a mirror current source portion comprising two or more mirror current sources configured to be driven respectively by the current control signals from the current control logic; a capacitor configured to be charged or discharged by currents output from the mirror current sources; and a reset circuit configured to reset a voltage of the capacitor.
Abstract:
Provided is an emergency dispatch command information management method capable of providing relevant emergency dispatch command information. The method includes: a step of receiving report input data from a reporter terminal; a step of generating reception input data of a recipient on the basis of the report input data; a step of generating first emergency dispatch command information on the basis of the reception input data; a step of detecting at least one second emergency dispatch command information relevant to the generated first emergency dispatch command information; and a step of transmitting the first and second emergency dispatch command information to a command receiver terminal.
Abstract:
A network cooperation-based low power type charged broadcasting set-top box and a controlling method therefor, the set-top box sub-dividing a standby mode of the set-top box into an active standby mode, in which only background functions are processed without processing a main function, and a passive standby mode, in which no functions are processed; extending the passive standby mode occupation time to more than that of the active standby mode; and including a way of transitioning between operating modes by exchanging information regarding the set-top box through an inter-cooperation between a charged broadcasting network and the set-top box, thereby reducing the power consumption of a processor (SoC) which processes multimedia contents and minimizing the power consumption while the set-top box is in standby mode.
