Abstract:
A method for a vehicle control procedure, wherein in the case of this vehicle control procedure a closed loop control of the vehicle velocity is performed on the basis of a predetermined desired value, may comprise the following steps: determining on the basis of at least one predetermined criterion whether in the case of the closed loop control the vehicle velocity leaves a value range that is defined by at least one velocity threshold value while taking into consideration a tolerance range that defines predetermined, permitted deviations from this value range; and implementing a corresponding measure while modifying the vehicle control procedure in dependence upon the result of this determination procedure, wherein the determination procedure is performed on the basis of a signal analysis of at least one measurement signal that describes the movement status of the vehicle.
Abstract:
A system and method for demand-activated remote monitoring and/or control of motor vehicles via a radio data communication link with a coordination unit. The coordination unit is configured for conveying requests for remote monitoring and/or remote control of a motor vehicle and offers for performing the remote control from control terminals located remotely from the coordination unit. After acceptance of an offer by the vehicle, the coordination unit provides a data communication link between the motor vehicle and the control terminal over which the remote control and/or monitoring is performed.
Abstract:
A system and method for starting/stopping an engine in a moving vehicle include stopping the engine, by a controller, in response to a time needed to start the engine from a stopped state and attain an engine speed corresponding to a driveshaft speed when stopping the engine being less than a target time, and starting the engine in response to the time needed reaching the target time. A start/stop vehicle having an engine includes a driveshaft speed sensor and a controller configured to stop the engine while the vehicle is moving with a vehicle speed below a threshold speed in response to a time associated with starting the engine and powering a driveshaft to attain a driveshaft speed measured by the driveshaft speed sensor and stored from a previous engine stopping event being less than a threshold time.
Abstract:
A software package is stored on an electronic data memory of the motor vehicle. A near field communication is established between a local communication apparatus and a mobile apparatus. The software package is at least partially updated responsive to a successful authorization performed over the established near field communication between the local communication apparatus and the mobile apparatus.
Abstract:
A method of performing an autonomous parking maneuver of a vehicle begins with a human vehicle operator/driver issuing a command to a parking assistance system that the parking maneuver requires at least one vehicle wheel to encounter a vertical obstruction (such as a curb) undetected by a sensor providing information to the system. In reaction to the command, the paring assistance system entering an operating mode wherein a setpoint speed of the vehicle during the maneuver is increased so that it is better adapted to deal with the vertical obstruction. A brake system condition may also be changed when in the operating mode, such as decreasing a brake disk/pad distance. The command may be issued by a vehicle operator standing outside of the vehicle.
Abstract:
A method for operating an electronic device via a touchscreen, wherein the operation is carried out on the basis of a position signal generated by an input movement touching the touchscreen, includes carrying out a filtering of the position signal in such a way that at least one movement component of the input movement is at least partially suppressed, wherein a filtered position signal is obtained, and actuating the electronic device on the basis of this filtered position signal.
Abstract:
A method of and a system for controlling the regenerative braking of a vehicle includes initiating a regenerative braking mode in response to an initiating control input to an accelerator of the vehicle, the initiating control input comprising a reduction in the degree of actuation of the accelerator of the vehicle, modifying a level of regenerative braking in the regenerative braking mode in response to at least one of a further reduction in the degree of actuation of the accelerator, application of a brake of the vehicle, application of a clutch of the vehicle, and a change of gear of the vehicle, and maintaining a modified level of regenerative braking after the additional control input has been terminated.
Abstract:
A method for monitoring at least one traction battery of a motor vehicle includes the steps of determining basic data for the prediction of a deeply discharged state of the at least one traction battery by a battery monitoring system associated with the motor vehicle, transmitting the basic data to an external computer via a first communications link, determining an expected point in time of the deep discharge by the external computer, and transmitting a first warning signal to a first monitoring instantiation of the motor vehicle that can be specified if the determined point in time of the deep discharge is reached apart from an early warning time. A device for monitoring at least one traction battery of a motor vehicle is also disclosed.
