摘要: The invention relates to a method for service aware scheduling of wireless resources in a wireless network. According to the inventive method, a service request for service delivery of a service type is received (51). A performance to value relationship for the service type is determined (52) and approximated (53) with a scheduling weight function associated with the service type. Previous performance for service delivery related to this service request is evaluated and approximated with a performance estimate (54). A scheduling weight is determined (55) by introducing the performance estimate in the scheduling weight function. Resource scheduling is performed (58) following a step of comparing (56) scheduling weights for on-going service requests. The invention also includes a network node and a system for service aware scheduling of wireless resources in a wireless network.

摘要: A method in a first radio network node for handling position measurements is provided. The first radio network node receives from a second radio network node a position measurement associated with a user equipment, and a system frame number. The system frame number is associated with the second radio network node. The system frame number is further related to a point in time when the position measurement was performed. The first radio network node calculates a position estimate of the position of the user equipment based on the position measurement. The first radio network node defines a time stamp which is based on the received system frame number. The first radio network node then signals to a third radio network node a positioning response. The positioning response comprises the position estimate and the time stamp.

摘要: The present invention relates to an arrangement, a communication network node and method for cell outage compensation in a communication network system comprising a plurality of communication network nodes (15a, 15b) communicating with user equipments (18), where each network node (15a, 15b) is serving at least one cell (19a, 19b), in which the user equipments (18) are situated, via two or more reconfigurable physical antennas (15a1, 15a2, 15b1, 15b2) configured according to an initial antenna parameter set. Cell outage is determined in a network node (15b). One of the reconfigurable physical antennas (15a2) of at least one cell (19a) is made temporarily available for compensation. The available antenna (15a2,) is prepared for compensation by reconfiguring one or more antenna parameters thereof in accordance with a compensating antenna parameter set. A new compensating cell (20) is transmitted from the prepared antenna (15a2). Upon cell recovery the compensating cell (20) is removed and the reconfigurable physical antennas (15a2) of the compensating cell (20) returned to the initial antenna parameter set.

摘要: The present invention relates to an arrangement, a communication network node and a user equipment allowing for probing of alternative antenna configurations in a communication network system as well as a method for such probing. The method comprises making one of the reconfigurable antennas (15a2, 15b2) of at least one cell (19a, 19b) temporarily available for probing and reconfiguring one or more antenna parameters thereof in accordance with a probing antenna parameter set. A new probe cell (20a, 20b) is transmitted from the prepared antenna (15a2, 15b2) and measurement reports collected from the user equipments (18) within the at least one cell (19a, 19b) and the probe cell (20a, 20b). The probing antenna parameter set is evaluated based on the collected measurement reports whereupon is determined if the reconfigurable physical antennas (15a1, 15a2, 15b1, 15b2) of the cell shall use the probing antenna parameter set or the initial antenna parameter set. Finally the probing cell (20a, 20b) is removed and the antennas (15a1, 15a2, 15b1, 15b2) adjusted in accordance with the determination.

摘要: The invention relates to method and arrangement for automated optimization of network element settings in a wireless network. For a first optimization state, a first forward triggering condition and a first range of network element settings, allowable in first network element settings optimization are determined. For a further automated optimization state, determining a further forward triggering condition, and a further range of network element settings, allowable in a further network element setting optimization. An initial set of network element settings is assigned to an initial automated optimization state. The first forward triggering condition is evaluated and a migration to the first automated optimization state is performed upon fulfillment of the first forward triggering condition. A further forward triggering condition is evaluated and a migration to a further automated optimization state is performed upon the further forward triggering condition. The migrating is repeated until reaching a final automated optimization state.

摘要: A method in a base station (110) for enabling the base station (110) to identify a neighbouring base station (120) is provided. A request is being sent (303) to a user equipment (130), commanding it to send an identification requesting message to the neighbouring base station (120). In response to reception of the sent identification requesting message, a neighbouring base station identifier that is associated with and identifies the neighbouring base station (120), is received (303). Thereby the base station (110) is enabled to identify the neighbouring base station (120). By receipt of the neighbouring base station identifier, the base station becomes aware of and is enabled to contact, or connect with, the neighbouring base station more directly, without the need of doing it through the user equipment. This can be done at some later point in time, for example in order to request the neighbouring base station to perform handover measurements with regard to the same or another user equipment.
