摘要: A microcomputer 4 responds to an instruction signal to turn the load L on or off to control the FET 2 through the drive circuit 5. The microcomputer 4 samples an electric current I.sub.L which is supplied through the A/D converter 6 and which flows in the load L at every predetermined sampling time T.sub.S and subjects the sampled electric current I.sub.L to a comparison with a known rated current value I.sub.R for the load L. When I.sub.L .gtoreq.I.sub.R is satisfied, the microcomputer 4 starts counting energizing time T. When the accumulated value of I.sub.L .times.T.sub.S is enlarged to a predetermined value S.sub.O, the microcomputer 4 turns the FET 2 off. When the detected electric current I.sub.L is larger than an upper limit I.sub.O (>I.sub.R) determined previously, the microcomputer 4 immediately turns the FET 2 off through the drive circuit 5.

摘要: An overcurrent detection circuit comprises: a switch provided between a power supply and a load for switching connection on/off between the power supply and the load; a current detector for detecting a load current flowing in the load; a reference value generator which outputs a reference value of a predetermined first level at the ON-time of the switch means and reduces the level of the reference value with passage of time from the ON-time so as to converge the level of the reference value to a predetermined second level; and an overcurrent signal generator which compares the detected load current with the reference value and outputs an overcurrent signal when the load current reaches or exceeds the reference value.

摘要: In a current detecting circuit, a virtual earth generating circuit 7 generates a low voltage VSS lower by a predetermined potential difference than a battery voltage VBT outputted from anon-vehicle battery 1. A CPU 5 operates while the low voltage VSS is used as an earth potential and the voltage VBT higher by the predetermined voltage value than the low voltage VSS is used as a power-supply voltage. A/D conversion input terminals 53 and 54 of the CPU 5 are connected to the battery 1 side of a current detecting resistor 3 and the load 4 side of the resistor 3. The voltages on the battery 1 side and the load 4 side of the resistor 3 to be inputted to the terminals 53 and 54 are detected by an A/D converter 60. A load current ILD is calculated based on the detected results and the resistor 3 resistance.

摘要: In respect to an electrical connection between a control circuit board 20 and bus bars 14 interbonded together, it is an object to enhance stability in quality and reliability in connection. As a solution for achieving the object, the control circuit board 20 is provided with a conductor segment 26 to be electrically connected to a specific one of the bus bars 14 on the opposite side of a rear surface thereof bonded to the bus bars 14, and a through-hole 24 penetrating a main body thereof at a position adjacent to the conductor segment 26 so as to expose the specific bus bar 14 therethrough. Further, an electrically-connecting member 70 is disposed to bridge over the through-hole 24 and the conductor segment 26, and soldered onto the conductor segment 26 and the bus bar portion located in the through-hole 24.
