摘要： Method for preparing an oxidized polysaccharide-protein composition, by (a) oxidizing a polysaccharide with an oxidizing agent to form an oxidized polysaccharide where less than 20% of the oxidized units are comprised of alpha-hydroxy aldehyde units, (b) reacting the oxidized polysaccharide with a protein to form a composition comprising an oxidized polysaccharide-protein conjugate, and (c) maintaining the oxidized polysaccharide-protein conjugate composition by placing it in an environment where the temperature is less than 8° C. The oxidized polysaccharide and the protein are conjugated via one or more imine bonds, the oxidized polysaccharide-protein composition is soluble in aqueous solvent, and the composition is capable of releasing the protein.

摘要： A method of preparing an oxidised polysaccharide-protein conjugate by oxidising a polysaccharide with an oxidising agent to form an oxidised polysaccharide and combining such oxidized polysaccharide with a protein. The oxidised polysaccharide is reacted with a protein to form a composition comprising a conjugate wherein the oxidised polysaccharide and the protein are conjugated via one or more imine bonds and wherein the oxidised polysaccharide comprises essentially no alpha-hydroxy aldehyde units. The conjugate may be used to provide sustained or latent activity of the protein.

摘要： A DVR controller in network communication with a digital video recorder receives an instruction from a user directing the digital video recorder to perform a function among a set of available functions. The set of available functions comprises a record function operative to cause the digital video recorder to record content and store that content on the digital video recorder, and a playback function operative to cause the digital video recorder to play back content stored on the digital video recorder. Subsequently, at least in part in response to the instructions from the user, the DVR controller issues a command to the digital video recorder to perform the function. The digital video recorder is operative to present content on a presentation device controlled by the user. The DVR controller, in turn, is remotely disposed from the digital video recorder in a facility of a content provider.

摘要： A method and an apparatus for hot-fill or cold fill sterilization of a container containing both a liquid and solid inclusions. The method and apparatus each prevent the inclusions from agglomerating in any area of the container, such as the container closure, thus allowing the liquid to contact the interior surfaces of the container for a time sufficient to achieve sterilization of the entire container. The filled container is subjected to an inversion sequence typically including alternating between inverting the container to an angle of about 60 degrees from vertical and an angle of about 140 degrees from vertical, over a time period of at least 30 seconds. The apparatus includes a means for conveying containers, configured to subject the containers to a series of angles as the containers are conveyed, as well as an enclosure for preventing the containers from falling off of the conveying means.

The compatibility is automated in that a manual jumper installation is not required for adaptation to either single-HVAC-transformer systems or dual-HVAC-transformer systems. The thermostat has a plurality of HVAC wire connectors including a first call relay wire connector, a first power return wire connector, a second call relay wire connector, and a second power return wire connector. The thermostat is configured such that if the first and second external wires have been inserted into the first and second power return wire connectors, respectively, then the first and second power return wire connectors are electrically isolated from each other. Otherwise, the first and second power return wire connectors are electrically shorted together.

In one embodiment, a white list of devices authorized to access a premises network and a black list of device not authorized to access a premises network are utilized. The black and white lists may be stored at a database in communication with an authorization manager or may be stored at the manager itself. When a client device is connected to a premise, the manager determines, based on the premises and/or device identity, whether the device is entitled to access. The authorization manager makes this determination based on whether the device is on the white or black list. If the device is on neither list, the manager may add the device to the white list upon appropriate verification. The manager may also facilitate removal of a device from the white list to the black list upon request or automatically.

摘要： A medical device has an interior for containment of fluids; an opening into the interior, an elastomeric wall comprising a fixedly placed, flexible barrier across the opening; and a retention wall positioned adjacent to a peripheral portion of the elastomeric wall. The retention wall defines a central opening and has a generally rigid retention zone surrounding the central opening, to engage and retain a connector tube which is advanced into the central opening to open a flow aperture through the elastomeric wall, for flow through the wall and connector tube. One of the retention zone and connector tube may be made of a material of sufficient hardness that material of the other engaging member is deformed by engagement therewith, which increases the strength of retention between the retention wall and the connector tube.

The method includes detecting movement by an identified individual in an origination location of a geographically bounded area and retrieving a contemporaneously generated pattern of movement for the individual. The method additionally includes comparing the pattern for the identified individual to a set of patterns in a pattern data store and predicting from a matching pattern both a destination location in the geographically bounded area and a duration of time at which the identified individual is to remain at the destination location. Finally, the method includes directing activation of a fixture at the destination location responsive to predicting the destination location, and directing deactivation of a fixture at the origination location responsive to predicting a duration of time that exceeds a threshold value.
