    摘要: There is described a method and an apparatus for use with the fuel preparation system of an internal combustion engine, for example, a fuel injection system which operates injection valves with electrical control pulses. When the gas pedal of a vehicle is actuated abruptly, the air flow measuring device of such systems is subject to oscillations around its equilibrium point, and the initial one of these swings is used to cause enrichment of the fuel-air mixture. The return swing generates an undesired lean signal which is suppressed by a "damping circuit". In addition, there is provided mixture enriching during steady applications of the gas pedal by means of a time-decaying enrichment signal generated by a slow acting circuit which operates in superposition to the action of the damping circuit. Both circuits may be suppressed by a blocking circuit during certain engine conditions, for example, during engine starting and engine overrunning as well as on the basis of temperature.

    摘要: An electronically controlled or regulated fuel metering system for an internal combustion engine having one sensor each for the air flow in the intake tube and for the throttle valve position is proposed. In accordance with the signals of these sensors, influence can be exerted upon at least one of the operating states of lambda regulation, full load and fuel quantity limitation. The fundamental concept is that not only the air flow rate signal or only the signal relating to an opened throttle valve should be evaluated as a full-load signal but that the full-load state is presumed to exist when, with the throttle valve opened, the air throughput in the intake tube simultaneously exceeds a predetermined value as well. The same condition applies to full-load enrichment. The overall result is cleaner exhaust gas.

    摘要: A fuel injection system is proposed for internal combustion engines having a plurality of injection valves for supplying fuel to the engine. Each injection valve is connected by a yieldable support bracket with a rigid fuel distributor line. The bracket is mounted pivotally with an annular coller secured to the injection valve. The fuel distributor line is arranged to engage rib-like carrier members connected with the internal combustion engine and is held against the carrier member by yielding clamp elements. After the valves are engaged in the sockets of the fuel distributor line and the bore of the cylinder head, then the support brackets are swung upwardly to tension the seal elements that are disposed in proximity to the opposite ends of the valve. As a result, not only a more secure connection between the fuel distributor line and the injection valves is obtained, but also rapid assembly or disassembly of the fuel injection system.

    摘要: The invention is directed to a method and an apparatus for controlling the overrun mode of operation of an internal combustion engine, wherein instantaneous values of the relevant negative speed change of the internal combustion engine are sensed and evaluated to control the overrun mode. In this arrangement, a higher resume speed which is selected on commencement of the overrun mode and reduced to a lower speed limit after a predetermined time function, can be shifted additionally in dependence on the negative speed change. Further, to keep an internal combustion engine from stalling, the actual value of the negative speed change can be compared with a predetermined desired value; if it exceeds that value, the decision for a resume of fuel delivery can be made without delay.

    摘要: In order to prevent undesirable abrupt changes in engine torque when the fuel supply to the engine is shut off at the onset of engine braking, the invention provides the gradual decrease of the amount of fuel supplied to the engine beginning with the onset of engine braking and continuing until fuel has decreased to approximately 80 percent of the normal amount at which time the fuel is shut off entirely. When engine braking stops or when the operator indicates a demand for acceleration, the fuel supply is initiated at the level of approximately 80 percent of normal and is increased thereafter up to the normal amount according to a second selectable function of time.

    摘要: An electrically controlled fuel injection apparatus is proposed which serves to control an internal combustion engine. The electrically controlled fuel injection apparatus comprises at least one injection valve which is opened via an electronic control apparatus in accordance with operational characteristics of the engine, at least one temperature-sensitive element which is in communication with the electronic control apparatus for the purpose of influencing the fuel injection quantity and one supplementary air valve disposed within a lateral channel which bypasses the throttle valve in the intake manifold, which supplementary air valve has a movable valve member which is actuatable against a return force by means of a member operating in accordance with temperature for the purpose of opening more or less widely the cross-sectional area of the lateral channel, whereby an electric heating device which is capable of being switched on when ignition impulses are present is attached to at least a portion of the temperature-dependent member, and the temperature-sensitive element is disposed within the supplementary air valve, in particular upon a bimetallic spring of the supplementary air valve which acts as the member which operates in dependence on temperature, for the purpose of influencing the fuel injection quantity. By means of this disposition of the temperature-sensitive element, a temperature-controlled and/or time-controlled enrichment of the fuel-air mixture takes place during the warm-up phase of the internal combustion engine.

    摘要: A fuel injection installation for internal combustion engines having a plurality of injection valves for supplying fuel to the engine. Each injection valve is sealed to fuel distributing line and to either the intake manifold of the engine, or to the cylinder head of the engine, by at least one O-ring, each O-ring being braced only in the radial direction. Each injection valve is fixed in an axial direction on the fuel distributing line by means of a fastening plate yielding in the radial direction and embodied as bracket-like, which is insertable through appropriately shaped recesses in each insertion nipple on the fuel distributing line and can be snapped into an annular groove of each injection valve. As a result, there is assured not only a secure connection between the fuel distributing line and the injection valves which compensates for axial clearances required for manufacture, but also rapid mounting or dismounting of the fuel injection installation.
