    摘要: There is provided an image processing method capable of improving the picture quality. The image processing method comprises: incorporating input frame pictures to be displayed on a display device, on the basis of an input picture signal and an input synchronizing signal which is synchronized with the input picture signal; recording the incorporated input frame pictures in an input frame memory; and producing output frame pictures from input frame pictures, which have been recorded in the input frame memory, by producing an interpolated picture or inserting a black raster picture or thinning out the frame pictures, between input frame pictures corresponding to a picture information of the input frame picture to be displayed, on the basis of the picture information and the input synchronizing signal and an output synchronizing signal.

    摘要: The liquid crystal display device, comprising a first liquid crystal cell having first pixels arranged in a matrix shape, the first liquid crystal cell having a first sub-field and a second sub-field, a second liquid crystal cell having second pixels arranged in the matrix shape, the second liquid crystal cell being stacked with the first liquid crystal cell so as to form picture elements, and a circuit for selecting and driving the first pixels and the second pixels in each of the first sub-field and the second sub-field so that a difference between a brightness of the picture elements in the first sub-field and a brightness of the picture elements in the second sub-field is compensated. The circuit is capable of supplying data signals to the first pixels and the second pixels in independent timings so that the sum of the elapsed time after the data signals are applied to the first pixels and the elapsed time after the data signals are applied to the second pixels is substantially the same between the picture elements in the first sub-field and the picture elements in the second sub-field. Thus, the liquid crystal display device with low power consumption and free from the deterioration of picture quality can be accomplished.

    摘要: An image processing method for a liquid crystal display device includes: calculating first difference gradation, which is a difference between predicted attainment gradation and input gradation, the predicted attainment gradation being a predicted value of gradation which respective pixels of the liquid crystal display attain after one frame period after the respective pixels are driven to display a first frame, and the predicted attainment gradation being stored in a storage unit which stores the predicted attainment gradation, and the input gradation being gradation of a second frame which is displayed after the first frame; multiplying the first difference gradation by an enhancement coefficient; calculating enhanced gradation which is a sum of the first difference gradation multiplied by the enhancement, coefficient and the predicted attainment gradation; calculating second difference gradation which is a difference between the enhanced gradation and the predicted attainment gradation; multiplying the second difference gradation by a correction coefficient; and updating the value of the predicted attainment gradation stored in the storage unit based on a sum of the second difference gradation multiplied by the correction coefficient and the predicted attainment gradation.
