摘要:
The present invention relates to a negative electrode for a lithium metal battery and a lithium metal battery comprising the same. The negative electrode of the present invention comprises a negative active material layer of metallic lithium or a lithium alloy, and a passivation layer formed on the negative active material layer. The passivation layer has a structure comprising a 3-dimensionally cross-linked polymer network matrix penetrated by linear polymers. The passivation layer formed on the surface of the negative electrode reduces reactivity of the negative electrode and stabilizes the surface, so that it offers a lithium metal battery having superior life cycle characteristics.

A positive active material of a lithium-sulfur battery includes a sulfur-conductive agent-agglomerated complex in which a conductive agent particle is attached onto a surface of a sulfur particle having an average particle size less than or equal to 7 μm. The sulfur-conductive agent-agglomerated complex is manufactured by mixing a sulfur powder and a conductive agent powder to form a mixture, and milling the mixture.

Disclosed is a gas-liquid separator capable of allowing carbon dioxide to be exhausted to the atmosphere so as to recover and recycle only unreacted fuel discharged from an electric generator, and a fuel cell system having the same. The fuel cell system includes an electric generator to generate electricity by electrochemical reaction between hydrogen and oxygen, a fuel feeder to supply hydrogen containing fuel to the electric generator, an oxidant feeder to supply oxygen to the electric generator, and a recovering unit to recover unreacted fuel generated during the electrochemical reaction in the electric generator and supply the unreacted fuel to the fuel feeder. The recovering unit comprises a frame structure, and a gas-liquid separation film partially surrounding the frame structure. The gas-liquid separator forms a flow space inside the frame structure. Accordingly, the unreacted fuel, which is not participated in the oxidation-reduction reaction between the hydrogen containing fuel and the oxidant, is recovered and recycled while excluding carbon dioxide, so that power generation efficiency of the fuel cell system is enhanced.

A fuel cell system including: a reformer for generating hydrogen from a fuel containing hydrogen; at least one electricity generator for generating electric energy through an electrochemical reaction between hydrogen and oxygen; a fuel supply unit for supplying the fuel to the reformer; and an oxygen supply unit for supplying oxygen to the reformer and the electricity generator. Here, the reformer includes a plurality of plates stacked to form at least one passage for allowing a material selected from the group consisting of the fuel and a gas to flow therethrough, and at least one catalyst layer formed on entire surfaces of the at least one passage.

A fuel cell system comprises a reformer for generating hydrogen from fuel, at least one electricity generator for generating electric energy through an electrochemical reaction between hydrogen and oxygen, a fuel supply unit for supplying the fuel to the reformer and an oxygen supply unit for supplying oxygen to the electricity generator. The reformer includes a main body which has an inner space with a reformer inlet and a reformer outlet. A reaction section is disposed within the inner space of the main body. The reaction section includes a heat-generating element for generating thermal energy from externally applied energy such as electrical current. The heat-generating element has a corrugated structure with a catalyst layer formed on the surface. The corrugated structure defines a plurality of flow passages for the fuel and encourages both even flow distribution and turbulent flow.

A fuel cell system includes a reformer for reforming fuel and generating hydrogen gas. A stack generates electricity through an electrochemical reaction between the hydrogen gas and oxygen. A fuel supply unit supplies fuel to the reformer. An air supply unit supplies air to the reformer and the stack. The reformer includes a reformation reactor unit for generating the hydrogen gas and a heat-insulating unit including a vacuum area covering the reformation reactor unit and recovering heat generated from the reformation unit.

Disclosed is a binder for a lithium-sulfur battery including a butadiene-based copolymer. The binder exhibits chemical resistance to polysulfides, is stable a battery working temperatures, forms an emulsion in organic solvents and exhibits high adherence to positive active materials and electrodes used in the lithium-sulfur battery. The disclosed binder compositions, due to their high adherence to positive active materials allow for higher relative amounts of positive active materials to be used in the battery resulting in a high capacity lithium-sulfur battery.
