    摘要: A device is proposed for drift compensation in fuel metering systems, in which it is not the metered quantity as such which is controlled in closed-loop fashion, but rather only the position of a quantity-determining member. The object of the invention is to maintain or re-obtain the original association between the fuel quantity and the position signal of the quantity-determining member for the purpose of providing a correct indication of the load state existing at a particular time. The drift compensation is intended to be capable of being performed manually, semi-automatically, or automatically, in an additive and/or multiplicative manner. It can furthermore be realized via a preferably rpm-dependent characteristic curve. The various values may be ascertained, for instance, in connection with running-out and running-up tests.

    摘要: A device is proposed for the adjustment of a quantity-metering member of a fuel injection pump in an internal combustion engine with self-ignition, comprising an electric circuit arrangement for a control signal dependent on operating parameters, this signal inffluencing the position of the quantity-metering member via an electromagnetic servo unit wherein the electric circuit arrangement includes at least one series circuit made up of a minimum value selection stage, a maximum value selection stage, and a servo unit controller for the quantity-metering member and the output signals of at least two set-point stages for, in particular, the speed, the smoke limit, equalization, and exhaust gas temperature can be fed to the minimum value selection stage with the maximum value selection stage additionally coupled to a start control stage. In addition to the use of the device as a total controller, i.e., the electric circuit arrangement alone determines the position of the quantity-metering member and no mechanical controller is additionally provided, the device can also be utilized where only a regulated stop for the quantity-metering member, for example a control rod, is present as the control member ("signal mixing"). The purpose of the proposed device is to furnish an electronic speed regulation for idling and for intermediate speeds, beyond the quantity-limiting functions of equalization (limitation of the injection only in dependence on the speed), smoke limit, and exhaust gas temperature limit, in case of a total controller as well as in case of signal mixing with the aid of a controlled servo unit, so that the speed is maintained constant at the preset and/or desired value even in an unstable condition during varying loads, for example, due to the additional connection of auxiliary units.

    摘要: The invention is directed to a safety arrangement for an internal combustion engine having self-ignition where, in the sense of an overall system monitoring, specific signals relating to the operating conditions of the internal combustion engine are continuously monitored. These signals are indicative, for example, of the position of the throttle pedal, the computed rack-travel nominal or desired value, and the rotational speed. The monitored signals are processed and a corrected rack-travel nominal value is generated by means of a minimum-value selection circuit. The corrected rack-travel nominal value signal generated in this manner is fed to the rack controller of an EDC unit. At the same time, a deviation in rack travel is determined utilizing the corrected rack travel nominal value in combination with an actual-value signal of the rack travel fed back from the rack-travel sensor. The signal indicative of actual rack travel also serves for a comparison with the upper and lower limits of the rack-travel sensor voltage; and, depending on the error condition occurring, either the output stage of the rack controller is de-energized and/or the fuel-injection pump is simultaneously shut off by means of an electrical shutoff valve (ELAB); or, a decision for an emergency operation is made.

    摘要: An apparatus for fixing the composition of the gas content and the degree of filling of cylinders in an internal combustion engine having autoignition, including a fuel metering device to which a signal dependent at least on the position of the driving pedal can be delivered and having an exhaust gas feedback control element in the air intake line as well as an apparatus for controlling the exhaust feedback rate. The apparatus includes measurement value transducers for the at least indirectly detectable total cylinder filling and the ratio of fresh air to exhaust gas or the air ratio pertaining to the aspirated fresh air and/or the fuel metering is influenced among others in accordance with this measurement value. The detection of the total cylinder filling can be accomplished indirectly by using measurement techniques for detecting pressure and temperature in the intake manifold. Besides using pressure transducers, whose output signal may be corrected in accordance with temperature, if desired, it is also possible to use an arrangement for measurement of the total gas quantity between the exhaust feedback point and the inlet valves. The object of the proposed apparatus is to set the mixture of fresh air and exhaust gas which is optimal at any given time with respect to toxic substances in the exhaust, by means of processing as many observable influencing factors as possible, and in particular by processing the total cylinder filling, which is of significance especially in terms of the limitation of solids in the exhaust which is expected to be made a legal requirement. Alternatively, the signal for the total cylinder filling can be used in order to adjust a suitably controllable supercharger via a governor in such a manner that the total cylinder filling (charge quantity) is constantly controlled. Thus, under altered environmental conditions, the optimal air ratio for normal conditions pertaining to the aspirated fresh air can be maintained with respect to toxic substances in the exhaust.

    摘要: A fuel injection pump for internal combustion engines, in particular an in-line injection pump for Diesel engines, is proposed having an injection quantity governor and an electrically driven feed pump, in which in order to assure an emergency shutoff in the event of a malfunction of the injection quantity governor, a check valve, the forward flow direction of which is toward a suction chamber filled with fuel by the feed pump, is disposed between the pressure-side outlet of the feed pump and the suction chamber. An emergency shutoff device responding to a malfunction switches off the feed pump drive, so that because of the lack of feed pressure the check valve closes and blocks off the suction chamber. The engine comes to a stop, as soon as a partial vacuum is established in the suction chamber, which occurs as soon as several revolutions later.

To correct the air-fuel mixture because of air density downstream of the butterfly valve, the fuel injection device is so arranged, that when the butterfly valve is in its idling and full load positions a rich air-fuel mixture can be regulated, and when the butterfly valve is in a partial load position a lean mixture can be regulated.

    摘要: A fuel injection system for an internal combustion engine includes an air flow responsive throttle element in the induction tube which is subject to an adjustable elastic restoring force. The throttle element is attached to a bushing which rotates about a pivotal shaft mounted within the induction tube. A control slot in the bushing is covered to varying extent by a control edge on the pivotal shaft so that fuel which enters a groove in the shaft is metered out according to the relative rotation of shaft and bushing. The relative position of the throttle can be adjusted by a pressure cell.
