    摘要: A wheel speed control apparatus for controlling a braking force and/or a driving force transmitted to wheels maintains the difference between the peripheral speed of each of the wheels and the vehicle running speed or an inferred value thereof at a value approximating the optimum value. The apparatus includes a normal control that detects and controls the increase or incipient increase of the difference over the absolute value using a differential value of the difference and difference or the rotational speed of the wheels. An integrating control detects and controls the continuation for a certain period of slightly excessive tendency of the absolute value of the difference, by comparing with a predetermined threshold value one of values which is smaller than the value with which, when the differential value is zero, the normal control would determines the excessive different only with the absolute value.

    摘要: A wheel speed control system incorporating in-gear vibration detection and elimination means for use in a vehicle includes wheel speed detectors for detecting the speed of a wheel, a wheel speed control section such as an antiskid control and/or brake traction control, an in-gear wheel speed control section, and an in-gear vibration detector. When the speed of a drive wheel deviates excessively from the speed of the vehicle as measured by a non-drive wheel, the wheel speed control is operated to control the speed of the drive wheel to become nearly equal to the vehicle speed. A differential circuit is provided for taking a second order differential excess the reference level, indicating that the in-gear vibration is present, the in-gear vibration detector generates as in-gear vibration signal, which substitutes the in-gear wheel speed control for the wheel speed control to eliminate the in-gear vibration possibly caused by the wheel speed control.

    摘要: The present invention relates to a process for producing a porous glass preform for an optical fiber and an apparatus for conducting such a process. According to the process, fine glass particles are produced by heating and reacting vaporous starting materials in a reaction vessel. The resulting fine glass particles are thereafter deposited to obtain the porous glass preform. An exhaust gas containing non-deposited fine glass particles is exhausted through an exhaust duct at a velocity above 15 m/sec. Preferably, pressure fluctuation in the reaction vessel is minimized by supplying air from outside of the reaction vessel to the exhaust duct. In accordance with the present invention, the exhaust duct is less likely to become obstructed by non-deposited fine glass particles. As a result, the preform can be produced without interruption over an extended period of time.

    摘要: A proportioning control valve for an antilock control device having a cylinder and first and second pistons mounted therein. The first piston has braking output pressure and first input pressure receiving portions. The second piston slidably mounted on a small-diameter portion of the first piston has a second input pressure receiving portion. A spring is interposed between the two pistons to bias them away from each other. A stopper is provided between the two pistons to limit the movement of the second piston toward the first piston. The cylinder is formed with a control input pressure port communicating with the input pressure receiving portion and an output pressure port communicating with the output pressure receiving portion, and a brake pressure input port. With this arrangement, the output pressure which acts on the output pressure receiving portion of the first piston will counteract the input pressure while the input pressure is below the cutting point and will counteract the sum of the input pressure which acts on the first input pressure receiving portion and the bias of the spring after the input pressure has reached the cutting point. Thus the ratio between the input and output pressures is adjustable by varying the total area of the input pressure receiving portions before reaching the cutting point, and by varying the area of the first input pressure receiving portion and bias of the spring after the cutting point has been reached.
