An unsaturated aldehyde expressed by Formula (I) below is hydrated with a solution in the presence of a carboxylic-acid-based resin having of a structure expressed by Formula (II) below: ##STR1## where R represents one of a hydrogen atom and a hydrocarbon group having up to five carbons; ##STR2## where R.sub.1 and R.sub.2 respectively represent a hydrogen atom, hydrocarbon group having up to five carbons, or --(--CH.sub.2 --).sub.p1 --X group, p.sub.1, k.sub.1, and m.sub.1 respectively represent an integer from zero to six, n.sub.1 represents an integer from one to six, Y.sub.1 represents --O--, --S--, or --NR.sub.3 --, R.sub.3 represents a hydrogen atom or hydrocarbon group having up to five carbons, and X represents a carboxylic-acid-based resin main body. Using a heat-resistant catalyst as above makest it possible to increase the reaction rate by heating, and produce hydroxyalkanal at high selectivity and yield out of an industrially advantageous high-concentration unsaturated aldehyde solution.

A semiconductor device of the invention is formed so that n-type InP current blocking layers enter the inside of p-type InP cladding layers, i.e., the n-type current blocking layers ride over the upper part of the p-type InP cladding layers, so that a distance between the n-type InP current block layers composing a current blocking region is narrower than a width of the p-type cladding layers contacting with the n-type InP current blocking layers. Thereby, the semiconductor device whose leak current in the current blocking region may be reduced which permits high-output and high-temperature operations may be readily fabricated.

This object relates to a leather which is obtained by forming a coating film through the greasing step following re-tanning and dyeing and the drying step. The purpose of this object is to provide a leather, wherein the generation of free formaldehyde and acetaldehyde is inhibited, an automobile interior part using this leather and a back sizing agent for natural leather to be used for producing the above-described leather. A natural leather wherein a back sizing agent for natural leather containing a hydrazide compound optionally together with a resin (including an acrylic resin) is applied to the back of leather to exert an effect of fixing formaldehyde and acetaldehyde generated by a tanning agent, a re-tanning agent, a dye and a greasing agent, which have been incorporated into a leather, in the leather to thereby inhibit or prevent the generation of formaldehyde and acetaldehyde, an automobile interior part using this natural leather, and a back sizing agent for natural leather to be used for producing the above-described natural leather.

[Problems]To provide a lost-wax cast impeller for a supercharger having no parting line corresponding part on a hub surface and a blade surface in each space demarcated by pairs of long blades adjacent to each other and having excellent aerodynamic performance. [Means for Solving Problems]This method of manufacturing the impeller comprises a step for forming a lost form pattern formed in the substantially same shape as the impeller for the supercharger, a step for forming a mold by eliminating and removing the lost form pattern after the lost form pattern is coated with a refractory, and a step for pouring a molten metal in the mold for casting. In the step for molding the lost form pattern, a lost material is injection-molded in a space demarcated by radially arranging, toward a center shaft, a plurality of slide molds having short blade-shaped bottomed groove parts and space shapes between the pairs of long blades adjacent to each other, and the slide molds are released by moving in the radial direction of the center shaft while rotating. Thus, the parting line corresponding part is not present on any of the hub surface and the blade surface in the spaces demarcated by the pairs of long blades adjacent to each other.

The impeller can be manufactured by a die-cast method in which a magnesium alloy heated to a liquidus temperature or higher is supplied into molds with cavities corresponding to the shape of the impeller for a filling time of 1 sec. or shorter, a pressure of 20 MPa or higher is applied to the magnesium alloy in the cavities, and the pressurized state is maintained for a time of 1 sec. or longer.
