    摘要: A polyolefin composition comprising: (1) about 70 to about 35% by weight of a polyolefin; (2) about 30 to about 65% by weight of a talc containing a metal content of up to about 0.9% by weight; and (3) based on the total amount of (1) and (2), at least 0.02% by weight of a specific alkyl 3,5-di-t-butyl-4-hydroxy-hydrocinnamate and at least 0.03% by weight of a specific dialkyl thiodipropionate or acetate. A sheet formed from this composition is odor free, has good whiteness, and can be fabricated into food packaging containers by a vacuum or pressure forming technique.

    摘要: A filled polyolefin composition is described based upon a polyolefin resin filled with a mechanico-chemically modified filler. The filler, which may be the usual filler material, is modified by comminution, by mechanically exposing fresh surfaces of the original filler particles in the presence of a polymer of a vinyl monomer. The vinyl monomer should have at least one polar group capable of bonding with the freshly exposed surfaces of filler material as they are formed and exposed during the mechanical operation. The process for the production of the modified filler is included.

    摘要: An inorganic filler containing propylene polymer composition which comprises 25 to 90% by weight of component (A) and 75 to 10% by weight of component (B):(A) at least one member selected from the group consisting of(a) a crystalline propylene copolymer composed of propylene and one or more other .alpha.-olefins;(b) a composition prepared by blending the copolymer (a) with a synthetic rubber and/or crystalline polypropylene; and(c) a composition prepared by blending a crystalline polypropylene with a synthetic rubber, wherein(1) the amount of xylene extractable soluble component at 23.degree. C. is 10 to 50% by weight, and(2) the propylene content in the extractable soluble component is 30% by weight or more,(B) an inorganic filler having an average particle size of 200.mu. or less, measured by light transmission in a liquid-phase sedimentation system.
