摘要： A fluid cooled neodymium phosphate glass impulse laser comprising a passive release circuit. The laser may be designed with reduced size so as to be portable and is mainly used in medicine particularly for eye operations, in spectroscopy, in cosmetics, teaching and microtechnology. The proposed laser comprises a resonator of small size having a fluid cooled laser body and which may be disassembled without detuning the resonator, a closed cooling circuit, a supply unit of small size and low consumption and an electronic circuit. The resonator comprises a thick passive release composed of a F/2 center-colored LiF crystal and having a characteristic passive transmission power of 70%, a high reflection coefficient mirror and a partially reflecting output mirror having a characteristic transmission of 60%. The active material is composed of a phosphate glass bar of small diameter, generally 3mm, having a high concentration of Nd ions, generally from 1.2 to 1.4.times.10.sup.21 ions/cm.sup.3.

摘要： The present invention relates to a jet pump having a first inlet duct, a second inlet duct and an outlet duct having an outlet end, wherein the ducts are in fluid communication with each other at a central volume portion. The jet pump also includes a sleeve formed with a closed end at the bottom and partially enclosing said outlet duct. The sleeve has a lateral opening therein at a predetermined height above the outlet end of said outlet duct. A continuous flowpath with different flow directions is also present within the sleeve along the inner and outer surfaces of said outlet duct towards the lateral opening. The jet pump can be advantageously used in fuel delivery system with saddle fuel tanks.

摘要： A smoke detector is disclosed having a radiation source operated in a pulsed mode. Externally of a direct radiation region of the radiation source there is arranged a radiation receiver which, in the presence of smoke or other particles emanating from a combustion process and located in the radiation region, is impinged by scattered radiation and delivers an output signal to an evaluation circuit. The evaluation circuit contains switching elements which, when the number of source output signals or pulses exceeds a predetermined threshold value for the number of source output pulses, delivers an alarm signal. Near to the radiation receiver there is arranged a reference cell in the direct radiation beam of the radiation source, this reference cell controlling the emission of radiation by the radiation source. Further, there is provided circuitry which, in the presence of a slow change in the amplitude of the receiver output pulse, adjusts an amplitude threshold value set for the amplitude of the receiver output pulse at a rate corresponding to a time-constant of more than one minute. Consequently, there is obtained an output signal of the radiation receiver which is dependent upon the smoke density and which is independent of the contamination or soiling of the smoke detector.

摘要： A fuel delivery module assembly for a vehicle which includes a fuel delivery module for supplying fuel from a fuel tank, a flange for attachment to a fuel tank and an emissions canister for controlling evaporative emissions. The fuel delivery module includes a reservoir for retaining fuel and a fuel pump for supplying fuel from the reservoir. The emissions canister is coupled to the fuel delivery module in a sliding relationship and is arranged such that the emissions canister can be displaced along a slide axis relative to the fuel delivery module between an installed position, in which the reservoir and emissions canister overlap parallel with the slide axis, and an installation position, in which the reservoir and emissions canister substantially do not overlap parallel with the slide axis. The invention also provides a fuel tank assembly comprising such a fuel delivery module assembly and to a method of positioning such a fuel delivery module assembly within a fuel tank.
