Abstract: The present invention relates to zeolitic adsorbents based on small agglomerated crystals of zeolite X comprising barium, combining optimum properties in terms of selectivity and of mechanical strength.These adsorbents have applications in the separation of fractions of aromatic C8 isomers and in particular xylenes, in the separation of substituted toluene isomers, such as nitrotoluene, diethyltoluene or toluenediamine, in the separation of cresols and in the separation of polyhydric alcohols, such as sugars.

Abstract: A process for the treatment of a gasoline containing sulphur-containing compounds, olefins and diolefins, comprising the following steps: a) fractionating the gasoline in a manner such as to recover at least one intermediate gasoline cut, MCN, comprising hydrocarbons and wherein the temperature difference (ΔT) between the 5% and 95% by weight distillation points is less than 60° C.; b) desulphurizing the intermediate gasoline cut MCN alone and in the presence of a hydrodesulphurization catalyst and hydrogen in a manner such as to produce a partially desulphurized intermediate gasoline cut MCN; and c) fractionating, in a splitter, the at least partially desulphurized intermediate gasoline cut MCN which has not undergone catalytic treatment subsequent to step b), in a manner such as to recover an intermediate gasoline with low sulphur and mercaptans contents from the column head and a cut of hydrocarbons containing sulphur-containing compounds including mercaptans from the column bottom.

Abstract: The present application relates to a process for the selective hydrogenation of a gasoline which contains polyunsaturated compounds and sulphurous light compounds, the process allowing conjointly the hydrogenation of polyunsaturated compounds into mono-unsaturated compounds, increasing weight of the sulphurous light compounds by reaction with the unsaturated compounds, and maximization of the isomerization of the monounsaturated compounds comprising an external C═C double bond into their internal C═C double bond isomer, said process implementing a catalyst containing at least one group VIb metal and at least one group VIII metal deposited on a porous support.
