Abstract: Techniques are described with respect to a system, method, and computer program product for managing a virtual environment context. An associated method includes analyzing a plurality of avatars associated with the virtual environment; ranking each avatar of the plurality of avatars based on the analysis; grouping at least a subset of the avatars based on a scoring of each avatar associated with the ranking; and modifying the virtual environment for the subset in accordance with the virtual environment context based on the analysis.

Abstract: A computer-implemented method to automatically adjust a view of a video stream to focus on a relevant item. The method includes monitoring activity in video feed of a video conference. The method further includes identifying, in the video feed, an item that a user is interacting with during the video conference. The method also includes determining a relevance score for to the item, where the relevance score represents a likelihood the item is a focus of the video conference. The method includes determining the relevance score is above a relevance threshold for the item. The method also includes adjusting, in response to the relevance score being above the relevance threshold, a focus the video feed, where the adjusting is configured to focus on the item.

Abstract: A computer implemented method performs a task for a vehicle. A number of processor units detects a presence of the vehicle on a road. The number of processor units divides the task to be performed for the vehicle into subtasks. The number of processor units assigns the subtasks to Internet of Things nodes on possible paths that the vehicle can travel on the road. The number of processor units processes the subtasks using a set of the Internet of Things nodes on a selected path in the possible paths in real time as the vehicle moves on the selected path to form subtask results. The number of processor units combines the subtask results from the processed subtasks to form a task result for the task.

Abstract: Embodiments of the invention are directed to a computer-implemented method of operating a multi-screen virtual reality environment. The computer-implemented method includes performing a wall arrangement and transmission (WA&T) protocol that includes receiving at a second module a function transmitted by a first module over a network to the second module. The second module and the function received over the network are used to generate priority data that identifies a priority of each of a plurality of individual video streams generated by a plurality of video sources. Based at least in part on the priority, the second module is used to generate reduced-size video streams that include selected ones of the plurality of individual video streams. The second module transmits the priority data and a multi-screen video stream that includes the reduced-size video streams and non-reduced-size video streams of the plurality of individual video streams.

Abstract: After forming source/drain contact openings to expose portions of source/drain regions composed of an n-doped III-V compound semiconductor material, surfaces of the exposed portions of the source/drain regions are cleaned to remove native oxides and doped with plasma-generated n-type dopant radicals. Semiconductor caps are formed in-situ on the cleaned surfaces of the source/drain regions, and subsequently converted into metal semiconductor alloy regions. Source/drain contacts are then formed on the metal semiconductor alloy regions and within the source/drain contact openings.

Abstract: A method for forming a semiconductor device includes forming a III-V semiconductor substrate and forming a gate structure on the III-V semiconductor substrate. The method also includes forming a thin spacer surrounding the gate structure and forming a source/drain junction with a first doped III-V material at an upper surface of the III-V semiconductor substrate. The method also includes oxidizing a surface the source/drain forming an oxidation layer; removing natural oxides from the oxidation layer on a surface of the source/drain to expose ions of the first doped III-V material at least at a surface of the source/drain. The method further includes applying a second doping to the source/drain to increase a doping concentration of the first doped III-V material, forming metal contacts at least at the second doped surface of the source/drain; and then annealing the contact.

Abstract: Selective epitaxy of a semiconductor material is performed on a semiconductor fin to form a semiconductor nanowire. Surfaces of the semiconductor nanowire include facets that are non-horizontal and non-vertical. A gate electrode can be formed over the semiconductor nanowire such that the faceted surfaces can be employed as channel surfaces. The epitaxially deposited portions of the faceted semiconductor nanowire can apply stress to the channels. Further, an additional semiconductor material may be added to form an outer shell of the faceted semiconductor nanowire prior to forming a gate electrode thereupon. The faceted surfaces of the semiconductor nanowire provide well-defined charge carrier transport properties, which can be advantageously employed to provide a semiconductor device with well-controlled device characteristics.

Abstract: In an approach to improve the privacy of chat groups within a virtual world, in response to identifying a private chat group has been created between two or more users, embodiments collect, by an internet of things (IoT) sensor set, a voice for each user in the private chat group. Further, embodiments analyze, by an analysis module, the collected voice, an intonation associated with the collected voice and an original pronunciation associated with the collected voice, and generate a de-content pronunciation based on the analysis of the collected voice, the intonation, and the original pronunciation. Additionally, embodiments output, by the IoT sensor set, the intonation and the original pronunciation to the two or more users in the private chat group and output, by the IoT sensor set and a client computer, the intonation and the de-content pronunciation to one or more users outside the private chat group.
