    Abstract: An intermediate servant device connected in a daisy chain configuration with a set of devices is described. The intermediate servant device may be configured to receive, from a previous servant device of the set of servant devices, a request for data, a first response to the request for data, and authentication information for the first response to the request for data. The intermediate servant device may be further configured to generate a second response to the request for data and determine authentication information for the second response based on the authentication information for the first response, the second response, and a key assigned to the intermediate servant device. The intermediate servant device may be further configured to output at least the authentication information for the second response, the first response, and the second response.

    Abstract: Methods and devices for detecting electrical arcs are provided. A first wavelet transformation with a first mother wavelet is applied to a chronological sequence of current measurements (80) of a current through a lead, to obtain first wavelet coefficients. In addition, a second wavelet transformation with a second mother wavelet different from the first mother wavelet is applied to the chronological sequence in order to obtain second wavelet coefficients. On the basis of the first wavelet coefficients and the second wavelet coefficients, it is then determined whether an arc (10; 11; 24) is present.

    Abstract: A system includes a battery and a plurality of integrated circuits. The battery includes a plurality of battery cells. Each integrated circuit of the plurality of integrated circuits is coupled to a respective battery cell of the plurality of battery cells. Each integrated circuit includes at least one sensor configured to determine one or more operational characteristics of the battery cell coupled to the integrated circuit, and a transceiver configured to output a signal indicative of the one or more operational characteristics of the battery cell.
