摘要: A technique for classifying traffic at a network node involves programming a content addressable memory (CAM) array with multiple class-specific entries, where each of the class-specific entries has an associated traffic class, obtaining a protocol-independent key field from an incoming packet, and searching the programmed CAM array with the protocol-independent key field to identify an associated traffic class of the incoming packet. In another embodiment, each of the class-specific entries has an associated traffic distribution policy, which may be applied to an incoming packet.

摘要: A technique for classifying traffic at a network node includes programming multiple on-chip memory arrays with identical search entries, receiving multiple packets, and distributing classification searches related to the packets among the multiple on-chip memory arrays. In an embodiment, the on-chip memory arrays are content-addressable memory (CAM) arrays. In another embodiment, the distributing of classification searches related to the packets is performed in an alternating fashion with respect to a fixed order.

摘要: Methods and systems to measure simultaneously concentrations or concentration ratio(s) of two or more gas ingredients in a sample area comprising: a wavelength modulated light source; an acoustic detector or a photodetector; and means to analyze the signal from the acoustic detector or the photodetector and calculate the concentrations or concentration ratio(s). The light from the light source is transmitted through the sample area. Part of the light will be absorbed in the sample area by the gas ingredients and generates photoacoustic signal. The acoustic detector is used to sample the photoacoustic signal. Alternatively, a photodetector is used to sample the light intensity after the light is transmitted through the sample area.

摘要: A distributed VCC/VSS clamp structure (10) for preventing inadvertent damage to semiconductor integrated circuits caused by an electrostatic discharging event occurring between any two external pins thereof includes a clamp transistor (Q4) which is disposed locally to every ESD protection circuitry associated with each input and output pin of a semiconductor integrated circuit. The clamp transistor is activated so as to provide a secondary discharging path when the direct clamp discharging paths of the ESD protection circuitry are not forming a complete path.

摘要: Once a purchaser has proceeded through a check out experience with an online retail system, the settings established during that checkout experience will be applied to future checkout experiences by that purchaser. By capturing and thereafter using checkout settings in this manner, a purchaser can proceed from a shopping cart directly to a checkout review page with the checkout review page being pre-populated with such prior established settings. Furthermore, the methodology allows the purchaser to have a virtually unlimited number of goods in their shopping cart and to have multiple different types of order fulfillment options (e.g., shipping, store pickup, delivery to an organization, etc.) automatically established for those goods.

摘要: The rewind arbiter system provides a system and method for arbitrating a device. Briefly described, one embodiment comprises a plurality of controlled devices configured to access a shared component and a rewind arbiter configured to arbitrate among a plurality of requests received from the controlled devices, wherein one of the controlled devices communicating a request that is selected during arbitration is then granted access to the shared component. The rewind arbiter further comprising; an arbitration scheme configured to grant arbitrated requests to the controlled devices, a verification scheme configured to verify that the controlled device successfully completes communication with the shared component, and a rewind scheme configured to cause the arbitration scheme to rewind back to the controlled device that has failed to successfully complete communication with the shared component such that the failed control device is granted a second arbitrated request.

摘要: A system for allowing a content addressable memory (CAM) to operate with first and second power voltage levels including: a first input voltage for providing a first bias to the content addressable memory; a second input voltage for providing a second bias to the content addressable memory; and a selection device coupled to the first input voltage and the second input voltage for decoupling the first input voltage from the content addressable memory and coupling the second input voltage to the content addressable memory in response to coupling the second power voltage level to the content addressable memory. In a specific embodiment the system includes: a first power on reset coupled to the content addressable memory for initializing the content addressable memory when the first power voltage level is initially coupled to the content addressable memory; and a second power on reset coupled to the content addressable memory for initializing the content addressable memory when the second power voltage level is initially coupled to the content addressable memory. The system allows a CAM to operate at a power voltage level of 2.6 to 3.6 volts to reduce power dissipation and at a higher voltage during programming of an electrically programmable memory. The system provides multiple resets to a CAM for proper operation with multiple power supply levels. The system also provides a CAM that allows access to redundant addresses of an electrically programmable read only memory (EPROM) and that allows programming of the EPROM with traditional programming equipment.
