The adsorption prevention layer, which is formed of an adsorption prevention material that reduces surface energy, prevents a gate electrode from absorbing carbon nanotube (CNT) residue by reducing the surface energy of the gate electrode.

The present invention relates to a method for forming an electron emission source for an electron emission device and an electron emission device produced by the method. The method for forming an electron emission source comprises: depositing at least one kind of charged particles selected from the group consisting of carbon-based materials, metal particles, inorganic particles, and organic materials to a substrate charged by the opposite charge. The method provides an electron emission source for an electron emission device upon which carbon nanotubes are selectively deposited in a desired pattern without leaving surplus organic carbon. The resulting electron emission devices exhibit excellent life and electron emission characteristics. The method does not require additional surface treatment.

Accordingly, the lifespan and field emission characteristic of the field emitter are greatly improved, and a large area field emitter having excellent characteristics that cannot be realized in the conventional art is fabricated.

A Field Emission Device (FED) includes an emitter formed on a cathode electrode and including Carbon NanoTubes (CNTs), and a gate electrode to extract electrons from the emitter. In addition, a RuOx layer or a PdOx layer is coated on the emitter to protect the CNTs and to stabilize the emission from the CNTs. A stabilizer layer to stabilize an emission structure and to protect emission ends is coated on the surface of a CNT emitter or the surfaces of the CNTs, more specifically, the emission ends of the CNTs, in order to prevent abrasion of the CNTs caused by an excess current or an emission process.

The apparatus includes: a switching unit configured to switch a direct current (DC) power depending on a plurality of pulse width modulation (PWM) signals to generate a three-phase alternating current (AC) power and apply the generated three-phase AC power to the BLDC motor to drive the BDLC motor; a plurality of voltage dividers configured to divide voltages of reverse electromotive forces generated in the BLDC motor; and a controlling unit configured to calculate a current rotation speed of the BLDC motor using output signals of the plurality of voltage dividers, generate the plurality of PWM signals depending on the calculated current rotation speed and a command rotation speed and output the plurality of PWM signals to the switching unit, divide a rotation phase angle of the BLDC motor into a speed decreasing region and a zero crossing point (ZCP) detecting region in the case of decreasing a rotation speed of the BLDC motor, decrease the rotation speed of the BLDC motor in the case in which the rotation phase angle of the BLDC motor is in the speed decreasing region, and detect ZCPs of the reverse electromotive forces in the case in which the rotation phase angle of the BLDC motor is in the ZCP detecting region. The apparatus may very rapidly decrease a speed of the BLDC motor to a required speed.

A mutant capable of producing 1,4-butanediol and a method of preparing 1,4-butanediol using the same are provided. The mutant microorganism is prepared by introducing and amplifying genes encoding enzymes converting succinate into 4-hydroxybutyrate and 4-hydroxybutyrate into 1,4-butanediol in a microorganism capable of producing succinate. The method includes culturing the mutant in a medium containing carbohydrate and obtaining 1,4-butanediol from the culture. Thus, 1,4-butanediol, which is essential in chemical industry, can be prepared in a biological process.

More specifically, the present invention relates to a method for preparing a copolymer comprising lactate monomer; 4-hydroxybutyrate monomer; and optionally 3-hydroxyalkanoate, wherein the method comprises culturing a cell or plant comprising the gene of enzyme converting lactate and 3-hydroxyalkanoate into lactyl-CoA and 3-hydroxyalkanoyl-CoA, respectively, phosphotransbutylase gene, butyrate kinase gene and polyhydroxyalkanoate synthase gene together, and the copolymer made by the method. The copolymer of the present invention is a biodegradable polymer being able to be usefully used instead of conventional synthetic plastic, and the copolymer can be used for medical use.
