    摘要: Fully killed high-strength low-alloy steels consisting essentially of .12% to .20% carbon, 1.10% to 1.65% manganese, .05% to .20% vanadium, .005% to .025% nitrogen, .04% maximum phosphorus, .025% maximum sulfur, .60% maximum silicon and balance iron are characterized in a hot-rolled finished condition by yield strengths in excess of 80,000 p.s.i., ultimate tensile strengths in excess of 95,000 p.s.i., ductilities as measured by percent elongation (2 inches) in excess of 18% and good toughness. The steels are hot-rolled finished in the temperature range 1550.degree. F. to 1650.degree. F., cooled at a rate within the range 20.degree. F. to 135.degree. F. per second and collected by coiling or piling within a temperature range of 1025.degree. F. to 1175.degree. F. The steels modified by the incorporation of .01% to .10% of a rare earth are further characterized by improved formability.

    摘要: A wireless system comprises a number of wireless stations for communication with each other through short-range wireless links. In a multiple link data object conveying method, in a data conveying session, a first short-range wireless link is set up between a first and a second wireless station of the wireless system. Upon setting up of the first short-range wireless link, first and second personal identification codes are respectively entered in the first and second wireless stations. Thereafter, a data connection through the first wireless link is only set up if the first and second entered personal identification codes are the same. If the data connection is set up the first personal identification code is stored for later use in the session, and the data object is conveyed through the first wireless link. Then, while using the stored first personal identification code, at least a subsequent short-range wireless link is set up from the first wireless station to a third wireless station. After checking whether the third wireless station returned the same personal identification code as the re-used first personal identification code, the same type of data object is conveyed through the subsequent wireless link.

    摘要: A wireless communication device is disclosed for establishing communication with a remote terminal device through a cordless or a mobile base station. The wireless communication device has a cordless section and a mobile section. The cordless section is for communicating with a remote terminal device through the cordless base station in a cordless mode used for a cordless call. The mobile section is for communicating with the remote terminal device through the mobile base station in a mobile mode used for a mobile call. A processor of the wireless communication device detects a drop of a current call using the cordless service, for example, and re-establishes the communication using the mobile service. The user may be prompted prior to call re-establishment. For outgoing calls, the last dialled number is stored and re-dialled for call re-establishment. For incoming calls, the caller ID is used for call re-establishment. When a cheaper service is detected during a call, the user is prompted and invited to use the cheaper service.

    摘要: An apparatus for positioning and supporting a shroud tube in a metal teeming operation includes a boom assembly having one end pivotally mounted on a rigid structure for movement about a vertical axis and is articulated intermediate its ends to permit universal movement of its other end in a horizontal plane, and an elongated shroud tube support arm is mounted intermediate its ends on the universally movable end of the boom assembly for movement therewith, for limited pivotal movement about a horizontal axis, and for limited rotational movement about its longitudinal axis. A bifurcated yoke at one end of the support arm engages and supports a shroud tube, and power drive is provided at the other end of the support arm for rotating the support arm about its longitudinal axis. The power drive is operably associated with the boom shroud tube support arm for pivoting the support arm about said horizontal axis, and controls are provided for controlling operation of the power drive to rotate the support arm about the horizontal axis to raise and lower a shroud tube supported on the yoke with the controls being manually operable to selectively raise and lower the shroud tube for positioning relative to the bottom opening in a teeming vessel.
