摘要： Insulin receptor is purified in accordance with this invention to a level sufficient to enable amino acid sequencing thereof. DNA encoding insulin receptor is provided, as well as methods for synthesizing insulin receptor or its mutant in heterologous host cells transformed with vectors containing such DNA. Knowledge of the amino acid sequence for insulin receptor enables the preparation of novel immunogenic conjugates and antibodies raised against such conjugates. Novel therapeutically useful forms of the insulin receptor and anti-receptor antibodies are described.

摘要： A subpurlin (10) is provided for a building assembly having a plurality of overhead structural members (50), an insulating layer (62) and a plurality of overlapping roof panels (56). The subpurlins (10) support and space the roof panels (56) without compressing the insulating layer (62). Connector assemblies (30) secure the subpurlins (10) on the structural members (50) while permitting differential thermal movements between the roof panels (56) and the structural members (50). The connector assemblies (30) have ferrules (32) which slidingly engage slots (16) in the subpurlins (10). Washers (34) are fastened to the structural members (50) through the ferrules (32) during subpurlin (10) installation.

摘要： An apparatus for positioning and supporting a shroud tube in a metal teeming operation includes a boom assembly having one end pivotally mounted on a rigid structure for movement about a vertical axis and is articulated intermediate its ends to permit universal movement of its other end in a horizontal plane, and an elongated shroud tube support arm is mounted intermediate its ends on the universally movable end of the boom assembly for movement therewith, for limited pivotal movement about a horizontal axis, and for limited rotational movement about its longitudinal axis. A bifurcated yoke at one end of the support arm engages and supports a shroud tube, and power drive is provided at the other end of the support arm for rotating the support arm about its longitudinal axis. The power drive is operably associated with the boom shroud tube support arm for pivoting the support arm about said horizontal axis, and controls are provided for controlling operation of the power drive to rotate the support arm about the horizontal axis to raise and lower a shroud tube supported on the yoke with the controls being manually operable to selectively raise and lower the shroud tube for positioning relative to the bottom opening in a teeming vessel.

摘要： An apparatus and method for covering the ridge or peak of a metalroof system is disclosed. After the metal roofing panels are set in place on the sloping surfaces of the roof and seamed together, mating halves of a ridge panel are positioned along the ridge and parallel thereto. The mating halves have cut-outs corresponding to the rib seams of the roofing panels, the cut-outs each being covered by a seam cap. After the ridge panel halves are secured to the roofing panels, the interlocking joint between them is folded over and permanently seamed together. Finally, the areas at the ends of the ridge adjacent the rakes of the building are covered by filler panels. The filler panels have cut-outs corresponding to the rib seam of the ridge panel, and the cut-outs are similarly covered by seam caps.
