摘要: The invention relates a system for implanting an implantable device in bone tissue, a processing unit for such system, a method of implanting an implantable device and a method of providing information for an implanting of an implantable device. In view of the finding that a fat content in cancellous bone is higher than a fat content in compact bone, the lipids fraction, which can be determined by optical means, e.g. spectroscopy, can be used to determine correct screw placement in healthy bone.

摘要: A medical interventional tool has distal and proximal ends. A responsive material is located at the distal end or elsewhere along the interventional tool and is capable of providing a temperature-dependent or pressure-dependent optical response. At least one optical guide is in optical communication with the responsive material to collect an optical signal from the responsive material located at the distal end or other location along the interventional tool. The at least one optical guide further guides the collected optical signal to an optical output at the proximal end of the interventional tool. An optical response analyzer is configured to receive the collected optical signal from the optical output and to process the collected optical signal to derive therefrom a temperature or pressure reading or indication representative of a temperature or pressure at the distal end or other location along the interventional tool.

摘要: The present invention relates to fluorescence imaging. In order to enhance compatibility with multiple fluorescence channels for calibrating a fluorescence microscope, a calibration slide is provided that comprises a substrate and a pixel layout. The pixel layout comprises a plurality of spaced apart metal nanostructures arranged on a surface of the substrate. The metal nanostructures are arranged to produce plasmon resonances that allow absorbing light at an excitation wavelength to produce photo-luminescence and/or fluorescence light for generating a fluorescent image. The fluorescent image comprises a plurality of pixel intensity values that are provided for calibration of a fluorescence microscope.

The acoustic milk expression assessment system (6) includes an acoustic sensor (61) and a processor (62) configured to process an acoustic signal received from the acoustic sensor (61) during operation of the breast pump device (1) when a milk receptacle (4) is used with the device (1). By recording sound during a pumping session, it is possible to determine a frequency shift in the sound of droplets falling down in the receptacle (4) and hitting a surface of the milk contained by the receptacle (4) with respect to a reference situation of a liquid having 0% fat content, which can be taken as a factor in estimating a value related to the fat content of the milk.
