摘要: A system provides quality control in medical imaging Noise sources are evaluated which can adversely affect the image quality. The noise sources which are evaluated comprise at least two of a device noise source, an operator noise source and a subject (the patient being imaged) noise source, all creating sources of noise during the acquisition of the medical image. A quality control indicator is determined and output to the operator based on the evaluated noise sources.

摘要: Presented are concepts for managing a blood-pressure variation of a patient. One such concept provides a method comprises the step of determining a target exercise intensity for the patient based on an obtained measure of diurnal blood pressure dip of the patient. The method also comprises determining a target exercise timing for the patient based on an obtained measure of the circadian rhythm the patient. In this way, a target exercise intensity and target exercise timing may be determined and communicated to the patient for the purpose of managing or controlling a blood pressure variation through the combined timing and intensity of physical exercise.

摘要: A breathing guidance system is provided for guiding the breathing of a user during a magnetic resonance imaging procedure. A target breathing rate is determined for the user which is in synchronism with the sounds, such as clicking sounds, generated by the MRI scanner. In this way, an improved signal to noise ratio is obtained for the scanned image by controlling the breathing of the user to be regular.

摘要: A computer-implemented method (100) of producing a sleep evaluation for a user for use with a sleep therapy is disclosed. The method comprises, with a processor arrangement (12), receiving (122) a perceived value of a sleep parameter from the user, said sleep parameter corresponding to sleep behavior of said user at a point in time during said sleep therapy; receiving (124) sleep monitoring data from an electronic sleep monitor, said sleep monitoring data incorporating an objective value of said sleep parameter at said point in time; and, in case of the perceived value being different to the objective value, processing the sleep monitoring data such as to augment (132) said objective value into a further value of said sleep parameter to reduce the discrepancy between the perceived value and the objective value; and producing (134) a sleep evaluation output for the user comprising at least the further value of said sleep parameter. Also disclosed is a computer program product for implementing such a method (100) on a processor arrangement (12) and a sleep monitoring system (1) adapted to implement such a method (100).

摘要: A system for guiding sleep restriction therapy is based on sleep data as well as medication data for a subject for a plurality of nightly sleep sessions. The sleep data and the medication data are processed to derive a target in-bed duration and to derive a target medication dose. A sleep restriction and medication recommendation are then output based on the target in-bed duration and the target medication dose. This system implements an improved sleep restriction therapy method that not only promotes the usual gradual increase of the allowed sleeping window, but also enables implementation of a gradual decrease of sleeping medication, which is beneficial for therapy adherence.

摘要: Presented are concepts for assisting a person to consume food from an item of tableware. One such concept comprises a system comprising an asymmetry detection arrangement adapted to detect an asymmetry in an arrangement of food on the item of tableware. A tableware adjustment arrangement of the system is then adapted to move the food, preferably the item of tableware, in response to an asymmetry being detected.
