    摘要: A controlling system for a vehicle-carried internal combustion engine which prevents the rotational speed of the engine from rising excessively high even when an accelerator pedal is operated in a condition of a power transmitting system wherein it does not transmit the driving force of the engine from a transmission to a wheel of the vehicle whether the vehicle is in a stopping condition or in a driving condition. Such condition of the power transmitting system is detected by a driving force transmitting condition detector, and when such condition is detected, a controller controls a throttle valve of the engine so that the opening of the throttle valve may not exceed a predetermined throttle opening greater than an idling throttle opening irrespective of an operation amount of the accelerator pedal.

    摘要: Throttle valves are individually disposed in a plurality of intake passages of an engine. In normal operation condition of the throttle valves, a first control device controls the throttle valves according to the detection result of an operation condition detecting device to control the amounts of intake air of the individual intake passages, thereby obtaining good engine performance from low-speed to high-speed ranges. When an abnormality detecting device detects an abnormality in a throttle valve, a determination device determines a normal throttle valve, and a second control device controls only the normal throttle valve in preference to the first control device to control the intake air amount, thereby ensuring continued operation even if a malfunction occurs in one of the throttle valves. Also, intake passages of the engine are divided into two systems and are individually connected with surge tanks, a communication passage communicating with the surge tanks and a communication control valve ae provided, throttle valves and intake control valves are disposed in the individual passages, and the throttle valves, the communication control valve and the intake control valves are open/closed controlled by the operation condition detecting device and control device, thereby obtaining good engine performance and ensuring continued operation of the engine even if a malfunction occurs in the throttle valve control system, to maintain the stability of the vehicle.

    摘要: An engine output control apparatus is used on a vehicle having an engine driven by a drive-by-wire system and includes a device for setting a first target engine control amount in accordance with an amount of operation of a manually operated engine control member; a device for detecting wheel slippage and for setting a second target engine control amount at which wheel slippage is reduced when wheel slippage exceeds a predetermined value; a device for setting a third target engine control amount at which constant-speed running of the vehicle is maintained when a manually operated constant-speed control member is actuated; and a selecting device for selecting one of the first, second, and third target engine control amounts. The selection made by the selecting device is based upon a determination of whether wheel slippage has exceeded a predetermined value and whether the manually operated constant-speed control member has been actuated. A setting device is provided for setting the engine output control amount based upon the target engine control amount selected by the selecting device.

    摘要: Described herein is a drive-by-wire vehicle engine output control system. The system permits good-response acceleration by a driver's simple and reasonable operation, i.e., by operating an accelerator pedal and also a prompt response even when a sudden load change occurs. Further, the system permits precise speed control by simple equipment even when the deviation of a vehicle speed from a target vehicle speed is large. Output changes of an engine can be controlled within a permissible output change range by (a) comparing a target autocruise engine output with an acceleration demanding ending output, choosing the larger engine output and then controlling the engine to give the larger engine output, (b) controlling the engine to achieve a target autocruise engine output obtained from a speed correction torque and a running load torque or (c) limiting an engine control quantity on the basis of a permissible output change value.
