摘要: An industrial vehicle includes a transmission, which is coupled to an engine by a torque converter. When the vehicle is accelerating, the rotational acceleration of driving wheels is computed based on the rotational speed of the driving wheels. A traction control procedure is executed based on the rotational acceleration for eliminating spinning of the driving wheels. When the vehicle is decelerating, the rotational deceleration of the driving wheels is computed based on the rotational speed of the driving wheels. An anti-lock brake control procedure is executed based on the rotational deceleration for preventing the driving wheels from locking. As a result, skidding of the driving wheels is reliably prevented by a simple structure.

摘要: The invention enables to load and unload batteries of Varying sizes efficiently. Storage apparatus 10 is equipped with storage compartment 25 capable of storing battery A of three different kinds of thicknesses and a lid that covers an insertion port 34 of the storage compartment 25. Storage compartment 25 is internally equipped with position regulating plate part 70 on ceiling part 32 and ejection urging part 50, a thickness judging part, and contact point part 40 on end surface 33 at the back side. Position regulating plate part 70 is equipped with three rotatable position regulating plates 71, 72 and 73. Position regulating plates 71, 72 and 73 are urged by regulating springs 81, 82 and 83 to protrude vertically into storage compartment 25. When battery A is inserted, one through three position regulating plates 71, 72 and 73 guide battery A to cause it to be pressed to bottom surface part 31 of the storage compartment 25. Any one of position regulating plates 71, 72 and 73 that does not abut battery A oppose perpendicularly to battery A prohibits movement of battery A in the thickness direction. By closing the lid, battery A can be loaded to be positioned in a prescribed position.

摘要: A parking brake for maintaining an industrial vehicle in a stationary position is kept engaged by a holding mechanism. The parking brake is disengaged by a releasing mechanism. Whether the vehicle speed is equal to greater than a predetermined value is determined based on a detection signal from a speed detector. If the vehicle speed is less than the predetermined value, the releasing mechanism is controlled such that the parking brake is automatically engaged.

摘要: A control apparatus for an industrial vehicle is disclosed. The vehicle has a rear axle that is swingable during straight travel of the vehicle and can be fixed during turning of the vehicle. A damper looks or unlocks the rear axle. A controller has a memory that stores a first value and a second value of an angular velocity rate that represents an angular velocity per unit time. The controller activates or deactivates the damper. The controller activates the damper to lock the rear axle when the angular velocity rate is greater than the first value. The controller deactivates the damper to unlock the rear axle when the angular velocity rate is kept smaller than the second value for a predetermined time period after the angular velocity rate has become smaller than the second value.

摘要: An industrial vehicle including an axle to which wheels are mounted and supported to pivot vertically relative to a body of the vehicle. The vehicle includes a pivot control apparatus for controlling pivoting of the axle. The industrial vehicle further includes a controller for determining whether an abnormality has occurred in the pivot control apparatus. A warning lamp having two or more different modes is located in the cabin. The modes include an abnormality mode for indicating the occurrence of an abnormality in the pivot control apparatus and a normality mode for indicating normal functioning of the pivot control apparatus. The controller also notifies the operator of two or more additional different pieces of information using the modes of the warning lamp. That is, the single warning lamp also indicates the reason for restricting the axle by its color.

摘要: An industrial vehicle including a frame, an axle pivotally mounted on the frame, a restriction mechanism for restricting the pivotal movement of the axle, a pair of vehicle wheels rotatably supported on the axle, and a steering mechanism having a steering wheel for steering the vehicle wheels in accordance with rotation of the steering wheel. A first detecting device detects an angular position of the steering wheel. The angular position represents a steering amount of the steering wheel. A second detecting device detects a wheel angle. The wheel angle is the angle between a plane perpendicular to a rotation axis of the vehicle wheel and a line representing straight running of the vehicle. A third detecting device detects a yaw rate of the vehicle. A fourth detecting device detects a vehicle speed. A calculating mechanism calculates a plurality of variables based on the detected angular position of the steering wheel, wheel angle, yaw rate and vehicle speed. The variables include lateral acceleration, yaw rate changing rate, and lateral acceleration changing rate. A control mechanism controls the restriction mechanism to restrict the pivotal motion of the axle when one of the variables exceeds a predetermined reference value.

摘要: A rust-resistant cylindrical metal sleeve for preventing rust and corrosion from developing around the wall of a branch hole when the sleeve is rigidly fitted into a branch hole that is drilled through the wall of a metal conduit such as a water pipeline. The sleeve has a projecting portion on its outer circumference and an inner flange portion inwardly projecting at its lower end. The metal sleeve on its outer circumference is coated with a water-absorbing swelling rubber into which a synthetic resin rubber and a water-absorbing polymer are blended. Preferably, 100 parts by weight of styrene-butadiene rubber or ethylene-propylene-dienemetylene linkage rubber is blended with 10 to 40 parts by weight of the water-absorbing polymer. Since the water-absorbing swelling rubber increases its volume as it absorbs water, pressure in the rubber increases, preventing water ingress through between the metal sleeve and the wall of the branch hole.
