    摘要: In a V-type six cylinder engine, cylinder groups are provided in which a plurality of cylinders are arranged divided into left and right first and second banks. An intake pipe, a first exhaust pipe, and a second exhaust pipe are connected to the cylinder groups of the banks. A first upstream three-way catalyst and a first control valve are provided in one exhaust pipe while a second upstream three-way catalyst and a second control valve are provided in the other exhaust pipe. The exhaust pipes are communicated together upstream of the upstream three-way catalysts and the control valves by a communicating pipe. A third control valve that adjusts the flowrate of exhaust gas is provided in the communicating pipe.

    摘要: Fuel-vapor evaporating from a fuel tank is led through a vapor pipe and absorbed in a charcoal canister. Fuel-vapor stored in the charcoal canister is supplied to an inlet pipe when a purge valve is opened when the engine is driven, because the pressure in the inlet pipe is low. Fuel-vapor is then burned as fuel in the engine. If the opening of the purge valve is suddenly increased at the start of the purge, the air fuel ratio control is disturbed. Therefore, the purge rate is gradually increased and the vapor concentration of the fuel-vapor purged from the charcoal canister is learned, and the change rate of the purge rate is made small because the air-fuel ratio control may be disturbed when the vapor concentration is not learned enough.

The present invention is characterized by comprising: an outside EGR apparatus, including an exhaust gas recirculation passage that connects an exhaust passage and an intake passage of the internal combustion engine, and an EGR valve that can increase and decrease an outside EGR flow quantity that flows back into said intake passage from said exhaust passage through said exhaust gas recirculation passage by being adjusted in its opening angle; output value acquiring means that acquire an output value of the engine; and EGR abnormality judgment means that judge occurrence of abnormality in said outside EGR apparatus according to a predetermined criterion based on a difference between an output of the engine in which a first EGR flow quantity is flown back and an output of the engine in which a second EGR flow quantity is flown back.
