摘要: An arc-resistant terminal, couple, and connecter are provided. In an embodiment, a metal-based electrical contact portion thereof includes at least one of Cu, Ni or Sn, and not more than 0.06 mass % P, wherein the arc-resistant terminal capable of suppressing arc discharge wherein a voltage between the arc-resistant terminal and a second terminal immediately after separation thereof is DC36V to 60V and a current between terminals during contact is 6A to 30A. In another embodiment, the an electrical contact portion comprising at least 80 mass % of metal having a boiling point of not less than 1000 degrees centigrade. According to the present invention, since the electrical contact portion or the final contact portion of the terminal includes a specific metal-based material, even when the voltage applied between the terminals is increased and an arc discharge is liable to be generated, the arc discharge can be suppressed. The arc-resistant terminal of the present invention can be suitably used in a connector for an automobile, a joint box provided with the connector portion and the like. This abstract is neither intended to define the invention disclosed in this specification nor intended to limit the scope of the invention in any way.

摘要: Provided is a pair of arc discharge suppressive terminals electrically communicable with each other by engagement of the terminal pair. At least one of the terminal pair has a final contact site which is in contact with the counterpart terminal at a final stage of disengagement of the terminal pair. At least the final contact site is covered with an arc discharge suppressive layer containing a first metal having a melting point of 1,550° C. or higher. It is preferable that the terminal pair contact with each other at a portion corresponding to a main contact site other than the arc discharge suppressive layer in a completely engaged state where the one of the terminal pair and the counterpart terminal are tightly engaged with each other. Preferably, the main contact site has a surface made of a material having a higher conductivity than the arc discharge suppressive layer. This arrangement effectively suppresses occurrence of arc discharge at a time of disengagement of the terminal pair.

摘要: A terminal includes a fixing section that is fixed to a vehicle body, and a removable section to which an electric wire is attached. A line of weakness is provided between the fixing section and the removable section. When the electric wire is pulled during disassembly and/or recycling of the vehicle body, the terminal breaks at the line of weakness and the electric wire can be removed from said fixing section while the fixing section remains fixed to the vehicle body.

摘要: A highly-viscous material coating apparatus for use, e.g. in an automobile coating process, to coat a joint of a workpiece, may be mounted on a robot. It provides improved operation where the workpiece provides a reference surface parallel to the joint, where the workpiece provides a reference surface displaced from the joint at varying distances along the length of the joint, and where the workpiece provides no reference surface. Where a reference surface is available, an extendable spring-biased guide pin of the apparatus moves along the reference surface, and any positional errors are compensated-for by action of the spring. If the distance between the reference surface and the joint varies, the varying distance may be compensated for by various disclosed practices. The apparatus also can be used where no reference surface is provided by retracting the guide pin with respect to the nozzle and by controlling the robot so as to direct the nozzle to the joint. A conventional nozzle may be adapted to dispense a highly-viscous liquid without splattering or otherwise marring the surface of the workpiece by providing the nozzle with a frusto-conic recess.

摘要: Even if a stop position of a supplied workpiece is not accurate, in order which an online robot can accurately perform works such as welding and painting, through the use of an offline robot of the same type as the online robot, detecting three reference positions on a workpiece by a first optical three-dimensional position detection means and teaching can be performed. The first coordinate transform matrix A1 stores the coordinates of each of the positions for an operation on the workpiece as the taught contents, when it is assumed that the workpiece is at a first reference position. The online robot uses a second coordinate transform matrix A2 to calculate coordinates when it is assumed that the workpiece is at a second reference position of the online robot and stores these in a second memory, and the reference points of the workpiece which is supplied for processing are detected by a second optical three-dimensional position detection means and a third coordinate transform matrix A3 is used to determine each of the positions for operation on the supplied workpiece and the online robot reproduces them and performs the work. Even if the stop position of the supplied workpiece is not accurate, it is possible for operations to be accurately performed on the work.
