Abstract: Methods and systems for monitoring a driver of a vehicle using a driver state monitoring (DSM) system. The DSM system includes a sensing unit that senses biological information of a user of a vehicle. The DSM system also includes a controller that determines a drowsy state of the user based on the sensed biological information. The controller also determines a current condition of traffic and outputs information recommending rest for the user based on the determined drowsy state of the user and the determined current condition of traffic. The controller monitors the traffic and determines a rest state of the user, and outputs an alarm based on monitoring the traffic and the determined rest state of the user.

Abstract: An unmanned aerial vehicle including a body part having an inner space filled with light gas; and a plurality of wing parts mounted on the body part and providing a propelling force. Each of the wing parts includes a fin part having a first rib and a second rib, a first servomotor and a second servomotor connected to one end of the first rib and one end of the second rib, respectively, to move the other end of the first rib and the other end of the second rib in a control angle range; a control unit for controlling the first servomotor and the second servomotor to make the first rib and the second rib move while having a particular phase difference therebetween; and a third servomotor connected to the first servomotor and the second servomotor to rotate the fin part to determine the propelling direction of the body part.

Abstract: A driver state monitoring (DSM) system includes a wearable device main body worn by a user, a display unit, and an information collection unit that collects information related to a body state of the user. The DSM system includes a controller that, based on the collected information, senses a situation associated with the user's body state, and converts the collected information into a numerical value representing the body state of the user in context of the sensed situation. The controller further calculates a well-driving score for the user based on the numerical value that represents the body state of the user in context of the sensed situation; and controls at least one of the display unit or an image information output device to display the well-driving score and the numerical value that represents the body state of the user in context of the sensed situation.

Abstract: Provided is a wearable device including: a biological-signal sensing unit that senses a biological signal of a user; a vehicle-state sensing unit that senses a state where a vehicle that the user gets in is moved; and a controller that determines a parking mode and a parking direction using a result of the sensing by the vehicle-state sensing unit, when the vehicle is parked, and that measures a level of user tension for the parking mode and the parking direction that are determined using the biological signal that is sensed while the vehicle is being parked, in which the controller selects the parking mode and the parking direction that the user prefers, based on the measured level of user tension, and provides the user with information relating to a parking lot where the vehicle is able to be parked in the parking mode and the parking direction that are selected.
