    Abstract: An oil supply device for an engine is provided with an oil pump of a variable capacity type; a plurality of hydraulically operated devices connected to the pump via an oil path; a pump control unit which changes the capacity of the pump to control a discharge amount of oil; and a hydraulic pressure detecting unit which detects a hydraulic pressure of the oil path. The plurality of the hydraulically operated devices include a metal bearing, and the pump control unit sets a highest requested hydraulic pressure among requested hydraulic pressures of the hydraulically operated devices as a target hydraulic pressure for each of the operating conditions of the engine, and changes the capacity of the pump in such a manner that the hydraulic pressure detected by the hydraulic pressure detecting unit coincides with the target hydraulic pressure for controlling the discharge amount.

    Abstract: An oil supply system for an engine is provided, which includes an oil pressure controller for controlling a variable displacement oil pump to adjust a discharge pressure thereof to reach a target oil pressure corresponding to an operating state of the engine, the variable displacement oil pump capable of adjusting a discharge amount of oil, a load detector for detecting an engine load, and an oil temperature detector for detecting an oil temperature. When the engine load is low, to increase an amount of oil mist flowing inside a crank case of the engine, the oil pressure controller controls the variable displacement oil pump to increase the discharge amount as the oil temperature becomes lower, the oil mist generated by the oil flowing out of a bearing part rotatably supporting at least a crankshaft and being atomized, the engine load being considered low when below a predetermined reference load.

    Abstract: An oil supply control device for an engine includes: a hydraulic controller which outputs a control value to an adjusting device to cause a detected hydraulic pressure detected by a hydraulic pressure sensor to coincide with a predetermined hydraulic pressure value; a determination portion which compares an output control value output from the hydraulic controller to the adjusting device when the detected hydraulic pressure coincides with the predetermined hydraulic pressure value and a control value stored in a memory, to determine whether or not a difference between the output control value and the stored control value lies within a predetermined allowable range; and a device controller which allows activation of a hydraulic actuating device when an oil temperature is not lower than a first temperature in a case where the difference lies within the allowable range, inhibits activation of the hydraulic actuating device when the oil temperature is lower than a second temperature higher than the first temperature in a case where the difference does not lie within the allowable range, and allows activation of the hydraulic actuating device when the oil temperature is not lower than the second temperature in a case where the difference does not lie within the allowable range.

    Abstract: A hydraulic control system for an engine having a plurality of cylinders includes: valve stop mechanisms that switch the engine from all-cylinder operation to cylinder cut-off operation; a VVT that can change the timing to open and close valves 14 during all-cylinder operation and cylinder cut-off operation; an oil pump that supplies oil to hydraulically operated devices including the valve stop mechanisms and the VVT through a hydraulic path; and a control device. The control device controls a maintaining oil pressure, which is required to maintain the operated state of the valve stop mechanisms during cylinder cut-off operation, so that the maintaining oil pressure is set to a high value in a high oil viscosity region.

    Abstract: A control device of a multi-cylinder engine is provided. The device includes first and second auxiliary components. The first auxiliary component generates energy. The device includes an angular speed variation detecting device for detecting an angular speed variation of a crankshaft, and an auxiliary component control device for controlling drive loads of the first and second auxiliary components. When an engine load is low and the angular speed variation exceeds a predetermined threshold, the auxiliary component control device increases a total drive load of the auxiliary components.     Abstract: A controller sets a target hydraulic pressure from a required hydraulic pressure of a hydraulically operated device according to an operating condition of an engine. The controller causes an oil control valve to perform feedback control of the discharge amount of an oil pump in such a manner that an actual hydraulic pressure detected by a hydraulic pressure sensor coincides with the target hydraulic pressure. The controller executes feedback control after executing fixed duty control of setting a duty ratio of the oil control valve to a fixed duty ratio for a predetermined period of time from start of the engine.
