摘要: An exposure device comprising a table having a plane on which an original is placed, a light emitting device for emitting a light on the original placed on the plane, a scanning device for scanning the original on the plane while the emitting device is being moved along the plane, and a light adjusting device for adjusting the quantity of light emitted from the emitting device. The light adjusting device includes a shutter adapted to narrow the path of light emitted from the emitting device and adjust the quantity of light, an urging member for urging the shutter in a predetermined direction, an operating member for operating the shutter against the urging force of the urging member, when the emitting device is being moved and the shutter abuts against the operating member, and a holding device for holding the shutter, which has been moved to a predetermined position by the operating member, until the shutter abuts against the operating member again.

摘要: A position in which an image of a second document is inserted into an image of a first document is designated by operating an operation panel. A scanner unit reads the image of the first document and a printing unit prints the read image of the first document on paper. That area of the first document image to be printed by the printing unit in which the image of the second document is inserted is masked. Paper on which the first docment image has been printed and an ink ribbon are set back to a position at which the printing operation for the first document image is started before the second document image is printed. The scanner unit reads the second document image and the printing unit prints the second document image read on a designated area of the paper on which the first document image has been printed by using ink of that portion of the ink ribbon which has not been used for printing the first document image.

摘要: The present invention relates to 2-naphthamides, which are useful as an active ingredient of pharmaceutical preparations. The 2-naphthamides of the present invention have IP receptor antagonistic activity, and can be used for the prophylaxis and treatment of diseases associated with IP receptor activity. Such diseases include urological diseases or disorder as follows: bladder outlet obstruction, overactive bladder, urinary incontinence, detrusor hyper-reflexia, detrusor instability, reduced bladder capacity, frequency of micturition, urge incontinence, stress incontinence, bladder hyperreactivity, benign prostatic hypertrophy (BPH), pro-statitis, urinary frequency, nocturia, urinary urgency, pelvic hypersensitivity, urethritis, pelvic pain syndrome, prostatodynia, cystitis, or idiophatic bladder hypersensitivity. The compounds of the present invention are also useful for treatment of pain including, but not limited to inflammatory pain, neuropathic pain, acute pain, chronic pain, dental pain, premenstrual pain, visceral pain, headaches, and the like; hypotension; hemophilia and hemorrhage; and inflammation, since the disease is also alleviated by treatment with an IP receptor antagonist.

摘要: A method for the preparation of a novel recombinant DNA, which comprises (1) cleaving with an endonuclease a temperate phage DNA having an endonuclease-sensitive region not in the DNA segment participating in the replication of phage DNA and the integration of phage DNA into a host chromosome but at least in the DNA segment carrying genetic information for the coat protein production and another DNA carrying intended genetic information, (2) adding DNA-ligase to the mixture of both cleft DNA's, and (3) recovering from the mixture a phage DNA having its coat protein producing ability deleted by the replacement of the DNA segments carrying genetic information for the coat protein production with a DNA fragment carrying the intended information.
