摘要: A recording device for recording information upon optically modulated overwritable magneto-optical recording medium including four magnetic layers first records DC "1" and then a test signal at high and low recording laser power levels upon a test track of the recording medium. The high and low recording laser power levels are successively modified to scan a two-dimensional region of the high and low recording laser power levels, and the optimal high and low recording laser power levels are determined on the basis of the reproduction signal levels corresponding to respective combination of high and low recording laser power levers. The reproduction signal levels are represented upon the .alpha.-K plane which is divided into six characteristic regions, The optimal combination of high and low recording laser power levels is determined as a representative point within the region of correct reproduction with a predetermined allowance.

摘要: A connection device for a ceramic gas sensor element includes a sensor assembly and a ring member. The sensor assembly has a ceramic element with a thickness t, an electrical connection portion formed on a side of the ceramic element, and at least one electrical lead in contact with the electrical connection portion, wherein the sensor assembly defines an outer dimension at a position corresponding to the electrical connection portion. The ring member is disposed around the sensor assembly to hold the at least one electrical lead in contact with the electrical connection portion such that the ring member has an inner dimension at a position corresponding to the connection portion that is smaller than the outer dimension of the sensor element. The ring member defines an axial length L that contacts the sensor assembly such that the thickness t and the axial length L satisfy the relation 0.23≦L/t≦13.

摘要: A nickel plate is brazed to a shaft of a ceramic turbine wheel by way of a brazed joint layer of the composition consisting of 20 to 70 wt % of silver, 1 to 20 wt % of palladium, 10 to 60 wt % of nickel and 1 to 10 wt % of titanium. The nickel plate is brazed to a metal shaft by interposing therebetween a tungsten base alloy plate and another nickel plate. The nickel plates, tungsten base alloy plate and metal shaft are brazed together by way of respective brazed joint layers of the composition which does not include titanium. A metal sleeve is installed on the shaft of the ceramic turbine wheel, metal shaft and the metal plates. The metal sleeve is brazed to the metal shaft by way of a brazed joint layer of the composition including less than 1 wt % of titanium. The brazed joint layer for brazing the metal sleeve and metal shaft together is formed by the filler metals for forming the brazed joint layers for brazing the nickel plates, tungsten alloy plate and metal shaft together.
