摘要: The present invention provides a cell culture substrate capable of culturing cells efficiently. The cell culture substrate of the present invention includes a substrate, a plurality of fibrous protrusions formed on the substrate, and water-repellent film formed on a surface of each of the fibrous protrusions. The fibrous protrusions are intertwined with each other to form a matrix structure. According to such a cell culture substrate, when a culture solution containing a specimen is discharged to the water-repellent fibrous protrusions, cells can be cultured easily without contact, thus enabling cells to be cultured efficiently.

摘要: A sensor chip is a sensor device for measuring a property of a substance by adsorbing the substance on a surface of the sensor chip. The sensor chip includes a diaphragm having a first surface, a second surface, and at least one through hole penetrating from the first surface to the second surface. At least a part of the first surface, the second surface, and an inner wall surface of the through hole is covered with a noncrystalline solid layer including SiOX as a main component, in which substance X is an element having higher electronegativity than that of silicon.

摘要: A sensor substrate includes a base and fibrous projections on an upper surface of the base. The fibrous projections have fixed ends fixed to the upper surface of the base and free ends opposite to the fixed ends, respectively. The fibrous projections provide a fixed end-side region including the fixed ends and a free end-side region including the free ends. The total surface area at which the fibrous projections in the fixed end-side region is larger than that in the free end-side region.

摘要: An electronic circuit module formed of an antenna coil and an integrated circuit provided on a circuit board is provided inside a hollow resin case formed of a first part and a second part. A first slit leading into the hollow portion is provided in one side face of the resin case formed of the first and second parts joined to each other. Since the electronic circuit module is not exposed to high temperatures and high pressure during the manufacturing process, defects such as the breakage of the integrated circuit or the disconnection of the antenna coil can be avoided. Since the slit leading into the hollow portion is provided, the hollow portion does not swell by the temperature increase. In addition, pinholes do not tend to be formed during the joining of the first and second parts. Thus, a contactless data carrier with an excellent electrostatic withstand voltage characteristic can be provided.

摘要: In a financial transaction data processing system, plural host computers maintained by banks and containing bank account information are interconnected by a communications network, and plural automated teller machines are connectable to the plural host computers. Portable data carriers are provided each containing a non-volatile memory for storing money balances. Also, at a wholesaler location or the like, a terminal device connectable to at least one of the host computers is provided. The portable data carriers are insertable into the automated teller machines to transfer money from a bank account to the portable data carrier inserted in the automated teller machine. Also, the portable data carriers are insertable into the terminal device to transfer money from the inserted portable data carrier to a memory of the terminal device. Accumulated transactions in the terminal device are stored on another portable data carrier which is then taken to an automated teller machine to transfer the money from the portable data carrier to a bank account of the wholesaler or the like. Also, verification of the transaction is effected by transmitting data from the terminal device to a connected host computer.
