    摘要: Provided is a bearing device for a wheel that can realize prevention of a backlash in a circumferential direction and is excellent in workability of connection of a hub wheel and an outer joint member of a constant velocity universal joint. Further, provided is a bearing device for a wheel that can prevent deterioration in NVH characteristics, which is caused by the backlash occurring in a joint section between the hub wheel and the constant velocity universal joint or between an outer member and a knuckle, and can perform rotation torque transmission with high accuracy. The bearing device includes a recess-projection fitting structure (M) in which the hub wheel (1) and a shaft section (12), which is fitted in a hole (22) of the hub wheel (1) of the outer joint member of the constant velocity universal joint (3) are unitized together. In the recess-projection fitting structure (M), entire fitting regions among projections (35) on the outer surface of the shaft section (12) of the outer joint member and recesses (36), which fit on the projections, are brought into intimate contact with each other.

In the bearing device for a wheel, a hub wheel (1), a double-row roller bearing (2), and a constant velocity universal joint (3) are unitized together, and the hub wheel (1) and a shaft section (12) of an outer joint member of the constant velocity universal joint (3) are separably coupled with each other through intermediation of a recess-projection fitting structure (M), the shaft section (12) being inserted in a fitting manner into a hole portion (22) of the hub wheel (1). Projecting portions (35) provided on one of an outer surface of the shaft section (12) of the outer joint member and an inner surface (37) of the hole portion (22) of the hub wheel (1) and extending in an axial direction are press-fitted along the axial direction into the other, and recessed portions (36) are formed with the projecting portions (35) so as to be held in close contact with the projecting portions (35) in a fitting manner on the other. Thus, the recess-projection fitting structure (M) is realized, in which the projecting portions (35) and the recessed portions (36) are held in close contact with each other through intermediation of an entire region of fitting contact regions (38) therebetween. The recess-projection fitting structure (M) allows separation by being applied with a pulling-out force in the axial direction.

    摘要: A bearing device for a wheel suppresses backlash in a circumferential direction, has excellent coupling workability with a hub wheel and an outer joint member of a constant velocity universal joint, and has excellent strength owing to stable fitting between the hub wheel and the outer joint member. Projecting portions extending in an axial direction are provided on one of an outer surface of a shaft section of the outer joint member and an inner surface of a hole portion of the hub wheel. The projecting portions are press-fitted into the other along the axial direction, and recessed portions are formed in the other through press-fitting of the projecting portions. Thus, a recess-projection fitting structure is formed, in which the projecting portions and the recessed portions are held in close contact with each other through an entire region of fitting contact regions therebetween.

An entire area of fitting sites of the projections and the recesses are brought into close contact. Moreover, a bolt member is fastened in a bolt hole provided in the shaft portion of the joint outer ring after the construction of the recess-projection fitting structure, which restricts separation between the hub wheel and the joint outer ring. As the bolt member, if an outer diameter of a seating surface thereof is d1 and a shaft diameter is d2, a bolt member satisfying a relational expression of 2.3≦(d1/d2)2≦4.9 is used.
